Putting a 70cc polini sport on my Aprilia Sr 50, just wondering what people would recommend doing, so it runs right. I’ll be running it with a TT pipe 5.5g rollers. Should I keep my 17.5mm carb or get a bigger carb? What do people recommend when upgrading to a 70cc just want it to run perfect
Keep the 17.5mm carb, it works just fine for a sport kit. Get a couple of boxes of main jets and a few roller weights and prepare to tinker.
The 17,5mm can work fine if tuned correctly, with 21mm it will be much better overall with just a little more fuel consumption, the exhaust is great for your kit, other stuff that you need is aftermarket variator if u dont have one , and sets of rollers and jets.
That's what I said yesterday before I deleted my post thinking I was wrong. Bigger carb to maximise higher performance output.
