ok, so i thought we can have a kinda fun mechanical based guessing game, we post a problem and people can try and guess what the problem is. then the poster after a while, lets people know what the problem was, will kinda work as a tutorial too
I will start:
just went to ride the cub and when it is in gear, it wont go backwards. will post results tomorrow
(if my back is up to the challenge!)
thats an EFI model, i be thinking (if it has one) lambda sensor, or maybe its got diesel in it... first guess is my best one.... am i right?
Diesel.
The lights come on as a warning and the engine cuts out as a safety feature. If the engine cant burn it, it cuts out automatically. If you insist on the engine trying to run it smokes like hell.
THis has resulted in the ditzy blonde needing somebody (me) to replace the engine and most of the fuel lines
Ill admit to having put a little diesel into one of my own bikes in the past.... only a bit, was able to weaken it down with petrol at the pump luckily. smoked like a mf all the way back though.
well the cub was the clutch im led to beleive, the adjuster was too far in..... hmmm ok next one...
oooh a got one, my tomos runs like shit in all rev ranges.... go!
