then less then half a week later the bike kept seizing on me after riding it for little then a mile.

it finally gave up the ghost on me and i had to call recovery out

today i took it down the garage. had a dragster 125 engine fitted. the 180 was fucked, rings were gone. piston shot.

so now ive got a nice smooth bike to ride around on. top speed is 70 which is normal for a 125 the bore etc is like brand new on the engine.

basically the next thing to do is pay back for the bike. then i can start making it look nice by changing the rear light, indicators etc.

the bike needs a massive clean and the exhaust needs to be taken off and sorted out. other then that the panels are almost mint.

anyway good to be back

updates soon

MiNoR cOnFuSiOn#3
bargian of the month i think.. well found ;)
monty9120#4
the engine is going to cost me around ?200 though fitted i think

bike is mint panel wise. air box is slightly scuffed. dunno whether to spray it silver again or get a standard one off crazy james.

flywheel cover needs cleaning. the exhaust is very solid but is slightly rusty. not like some exhaust where theres a mountain of rust.

just needs a quick rub down and spraying with heat paint.

when ive paid it off. i want to get clear front indicators, led indicators to go in the handlebar cowling and a lexus back light because i love the look of them on runners.

not going to worry about a 172 kit until after christmas when i have abit of money :w00t:

really nice colour.. i like
MiNoR cOnFuSiOn#6
ill be honest with you... DONT YOU DARE TOUCH THOSE PANNELS!!!

:) honestly if you want to paint them get another set with shit paint and spray them, then sell those and you aint spent a penny. also 172 should be priority as it gives you power aswell as the fact its a fresh barrel.
monty9120#7
i mean spray the air box again silver because its got a few scratches or get a standard one for a fiver which i proberly will do :w00t:

the rest is mint :D
jacksp#8
well if you ever do go to touch them,

send them my way please :D

well today seemed like a nice day. woke up with a nice hangover from last night and decided to get on with my bike a little bit. popped round my local car shop and spent ?20 on bits

time to get cracking

the allen keys to get the exhaust off. masking tape for the heat shield, heat paint for the exhuast, chrome look paint fr the airbox. the rought thing to try and make my case look nice as its oiled up now

my airbox was scuffed so i sprayed it chrome look. it looked fime but i wanted to protect it so i laquered it and it went a grey colour and fucked up so i need to get a new front bit tomorrow.

heres how my exhaust looks now. no more rust. treated to at least 5 coats and it was properly rubbed down

i then used autosol so the heat shield looks much better now

this is my mini attempt at getting the casing clean. you wouldnt believe how dirty it all was you couldnt even see the engine numbers it was that bad. thick dirt but looks quite good now

luckilly it was in the hands of a professional this time. had enough of people that dont know what there doing.

had my carb cleaned out and the choke sorted so its now fixed and the bike starts properly now.

also had a new oil pump belt and a compression check which came back 125.

the bike runs so much nicer. all bolts were copper sealed before being put back on.

my new lexus light too. a christmas prezzie that i have nicked :D

yer thats the only bad bit about it. the powdercoating is coming off in places.

love the colours of the wheels so much though cheery red they look like.

its so easy to clean when it was clean before even after the bad weather
monty9120#17
i recieved the airbox, rear hugger and engine plastic today.

a quick clean and they came up like new :D

anyway heres my new stuff

Image no longer available

i decided to put the stuff on myself and im quite happy. the airfilter in my airbox was wet so i decided to use the one that was already in the new airbox :D

reason for changing the silver airbox... bike was far too silver for my liking :D

heres what my bike looks like now after the parts are on and giving it a clean

next thing to do is fit my led handlebar indicators when they arrive and get either a 172 kit or a standard 180 one when i sell my other bike

hope you like :D
tweak#18
monty, when you say wet air filter do you mean wet with oil or water? if oil then replace your reeds mate
monty9120#19
nah its water mate. only ever at the very buttom of the filter like water got init with the airbox not being together properly
tErr0#20
And i was about to offer you some free reeds. :P
