This thread is for anyone buying a kymco.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY ONE. They are the worst scooters ever. The noise they make is worse than shaking a bag of spanners and the fuel consumption is terrible and they are slow compared to other scooters of the same class. And the customer service is the worst I have ever seen.
I am writing, to share my misfortune with others so they don't make the same mistake.
Please do not buy a kymco or you will regret it because they are SHIT!!
I hope this helps someone,
Thanks
That's a bit of a sweeping statement - exactly what problems have you had with the kymco - kymco are a reputable Taiwanese company offering a range of products - a long warranty is offered on all of there machines so i really doubt that they are as bad as you claim - so come clean and tell us your problem

oh look, someone who had 1 bad experience with 1 scooter and thinks all scooters by that make are the same. do you know kymco make scooters for kawasaki? and engines for bmw?
i work in the motorcycle trade, never have i fixed anything on anything made by kymco, done some services on some quads and thats it, just usual wear and tear stuff, i suggest you contact the dealership you bought it from, if you did not buy it from a dealership, then hat would be your problem, unless you are handy with a spanner of course.
all scooters are slow, its what they are like, sounds like you have something wrong if its noisey, slow and bad on fuel.

A mighty 28 - doesn't really seem much faster than my now sold Sym Citycom which was considerably less powerful - but a lot smoother
scubabiker#8
28 is reasonable actually.

Sounds like you're talking utter shit.

The Kymco scooters are very good indeed, you may have a bad one but in general they are bullet proof. Is it new or second hand ? Have you heard of the company called BMW and Kawasaki? Kymco make engines for the top of the range BMW scooters as well as Kawasaki quad bikes! If I was to buy a new scooter tomorrow it would be a Kymco without hesitation.

Just because you have a shite deal with one brand, could be down to the circumstances.......;).

Dexterford doesn't appear to tell us the exact circumstances of his Kymco ownership - so basically we have no reason NOT to buy into this brand - come on original poster - what problems did you have with Kymco
