the vf is a bit expensive to use for work and the short trip is not good for the motor either so im getting a good deal from a trade in bike at work, will probably only pay roughly 50 pound for it i guess...
the bike is a tomos flexer, not really looked at it properly yet but think its a later a55 motor, its got a hell of a sound from either the crank bearings or gearbox so thats why i will get it so cheap, comes with winter tyres tho.
will update with pics when i sort stuff out a bit (literally just bought a huge house and im trying to rent out the apartments!)

My very first bike was a Tomos, an A3ML. Hasn't broken down once and I
got it when I was 11, still have it, love it:D

yeah my mate had one years ago, his was an a3m, the L is the mag wheeled version right? mine is only gonna be a winter hack/work bike, going to get the vf built up propperly over winter.

Yep, bright orange ones on mine ahaha and fair enough, they're so light and small, perfect winter bike really.
Mine was just used as a field bike :P
Has had a nasty rattle at the crank end for a few years now but still going on strong.

the work one has a gearbox/bearing noise, not looked at the motor to work out what yet

so i will be getting the work bike tomorrow hopefully, for the bargain price of 500 kronor. comes with 3 sets of tyres, white walls, and 2 sets of winter tyres, oh and the tyres that are on there. im hoping the bad sound is a bearing and not a gear, buying a gear will be tricky, but bearings we stock at work. it has electric start but i dont think it has a battery.. dunno what thats about, oh and no ignition switch either, but i will fit one as i dont want it to be stolen (i only know 1 bike has been stolen here in the last year and it was recovered)

if it uploads heres what it looks like...

Anyone know if there are any performance mods for these, and what restrictors it has?,not even looked at it yet
scubabiker#9
ok looked at it, the carb is a dell'orto like a trials bike, the airbox needs a mod and i suspect the cdi is restricted. the exhaust is also restricted as is the gearing, im gonna mod the airbox and stick a bigger jet in and leave it at that. oh it has an el start button, but no battery or motor. and it has an oil tank which surprised me
scubabiker#10
1.7kW of pure power, only weighs like 90kg

I feel a Sherlock Holmes hat and Dr Who scarf coming on:D
or maybe a Rupert the Bear scarf.:p

was gonna put a bigger main jet in, but the standard is 55 and at work the smallest in stock was 77.5. still not filled it up yet, i used 12liters of fuel on the vf in 3 days, an week on the tomos and its not even used 2! haha this is the bonus to a moped i guess!
oh and the features, el start button (no motor)
indicator switch and wiring (no relay or indicators)
oiltank and pipes (no pump)

the horn doesnt work on idle as it doesnt make enough power (not bothered measuring it)

modifications i have done so far:
moved the handlebars forward a little
adjusted the brakes
put oil in the fuel
changed the gear oil
lubed the chain
air in the tyres
thats it.

so far ive raced an arctic cat 700, i lost, and an aprilia mojito, again i lost.

ok so today im gonna get a bit of work done on this, i have a spotlight that will be getting fitted later (the headlight is useless and its really dark in norway in the winter), and im thinking im gonna stick a bigger carb on there and have a route around for a pipe to fit it. its a bit gutless up hills
Stevep#15
Extra battery to run the spotlight maybe?
scubabiker#16
the spotlight works off the high beam fine, gonna stick winter tyres on next week

litlle update (check the videos section for a little video), scoot has been stood for a month as my knee is bad (had an operation before xmas). went to start it this morning and it was dead, gonna whip the plug out and clean the carb tomorrow, i suspect that the airbox is full of water as its been outside. will update tomorrow (will get some pics with my new camera too)
