hi guys just brought alot of performance parts for my gilera runner.
polini evolution 70 kit
polini belt
gear up kit
polini speed drive
polini 9 roller variator
21mm carb
polini clutch
polini exhaust
polini evolution 2 crank.

Anybody have any idea if there is anything else i need and what if any problems i may encounter.
Can the electric start be fitted and will the crank and variator fit with no prblems, any help much appreciated.
Cheers Scott.

impressive specs mate.

tbh i would be running a bigger carb than that. 25mm minimum 28mm would go loverly :D

and yea if crank is piaggio it should fit your bike, and vari should fit the crank ;)

hope this helps :nerd:

new bearings.. electric waterpump.

very nice list of parts

21mm is a tad small on an evo2, a 25mm, as said, would be a lot nicer with a straight inlet and a different reedblock.

the evo2 does need some case work for it to fit and run properly, i dont know if you've looked into that? this sort of spec isnt just bolt on and go, the rebuild needs to be complete, new bearings and seals etc.

other then the things ive mentioned, should be a nice bike, but defo go for the 25mm, straight inlet, and maybe a vforce3 reedblock, and an open filter.

possibly look at electric waterpump, piggy waterpumps are shit and by installing an electric one means the bike will be more reliable, and you can do away with the oil pump.

Hi Guy's
Forgot to introduce myself.
Scott from Nottingham Gilera Runner 52 plate, leo vinci exhaust, till this weekend when all the Polini Evolution parts will be fitted. :punk:

I forgot to mention i have also bought 125 inlet and Malossi reed block.
Cases are sorted.
Anybody know if this little lot will be ok for fast road use and how long before engine rebuilds new rings etc.
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers Scott.

he nicked my engine...

yea will be fine on the roads but will be loud and rev like fuck so may have a slight amount of attention from old bill, if it was my engine id be checking it over after every run and changing rings around the 2k mile mark ;)

with a 33% gear up your looking at about 80mph with a perfectly setup example

youtube mate, plenty of these on there
GRIMEZ#11
thats a real 80mph by the way, you will smash any 50,70 and most 125's with that set up right (dyno'd) should get some porting done
scott#12
sounds like it will be quick :D where would i get it dyno at and how much would it cost. Thanks Scott
