mirrors on a scooter

right 1 question do you have to have mirrors on your ped i was in newcastle yesterday and quite a few scooters didnt have any

As far as im aware its not a legal requirement...

But there are the odd coppers who dont know everything about the laws covering scooters and peds...And they try to do you for things that arent actually illegal!!

I heard about someone who got stopped for carrying a pillion on a 50cc on a car license...The copper swore blue he was supposed to have L plates and shouldnt have a pillion....which of course was not correct!!

But hey what can you do...coppers are always right...Arent they!!!! :wtf:

yeah i heard if you refuse the tiket aswell, and get arested, you can sue for wrongful arrest...in the case of something like no mirrirs of course

yeah wouldnt fancy getting arrested and leaving my ped at the side of the Road....

I hate the thought of leaving my ped around they are so easy to nick

with 5k plus compensation its worth it as long as you know you are in the right

or ask for them to bring the bike, if they refuse, refuse to be arrested, just add to the string of shit they get in

Knowing my luck my ped would be nicked and I would lose the battle for the 5K compensation money

they dont let you touch the bike, not even to put it on steering lock, thats how they get niked, and dont even bother asking them to do it, fat chance theyll even bother to put the handcuffs on let alone your lock for you

well tell them that you are going to lock your vehicle whether they like it or not, if they tell you you cant, do it, tell them that they either let you lock the vehicle or theyll be getting a bill on top of the claim your going to make against them

if its parked somewhere like london an alarm wont mean fuck all, if anything the theives will dance to the tune for a while then drive off

same with the lock, unless its a decent lock, it will be cut and chucked in a few seconds, and if it cant be, any parts that are robbable will be, tranny case, panels, wheels, motor, shock, anything
