Mallossi Ignition Coil

Hello.
i was just wondering weather anyone knows anyfing about the malossi ignition coils that are yellow and replace the water pump..
how does the water go through the engine without the pump being there?

oh ok...thats what i thought it was gonna be...

whats the spec of your scoot!!!

because those ignitions are for race use really...a lot of them dont even have lighting circuits on them....

And you still need your water pump ;)

ohh rite wel i see sum vids on youtube lc ones wit them on it looks like there runnin off another pump...

my spec is

Airsal 70
polini reeds
polini belt
polini speed control var
polini clutch
pm tuning straight cut gears
pm tuning crank
yasuni exhaust
and its a yamaha aerox

1. replacing the magneto has fook all to do with thewaterpump.. people usually fit electric ro take load fof the crank. with a decent stator you need to carry round a rechargable battery for the pump tho. risky buissness

they are worthless on a road bike and the mechanical waterpump is fine for your application. buy yourself a 600 quid crank/barrel combination befor messing about with electric waterpumps and high end selectra ignitions.

the malossi cdi for use with the original stator is a good bit of kit for the money./ revs up to wherever yourt engine can prittymuch

he never said piggy ;)

on a minarelli motor the pump is driven off the end of the crankshaft, so the flywheel cant pull it anymore. so leccy pump

oh ye.. what a shitter that is then.. still a waste of time untioll you have a decent barrel/crank on there
