i reckon it just a cover for the oil pump or summit, the trottle cable goes to it. just there so u dnt have to take the entire var casin off to get to the wire. think thats it, not 100% though. so no, it doesn't matter =p

its just an inspection bung....should be ok to ride without it but i would try and get another one to keep the shite out the tranny case

yeah just a cover for the oil pump mate, in case you want to adjust, will be ok without it,, but like dave said, get a new one asap because crap can build up in the tran case, then it does become a problem

A stone is more of a threat than crap building up... get one sorted asap.
