I have a piaggio NRG power dt 2010 (50cc) with a leo vince zx and have just fitted a stage 6 open air filter.
just put a manual choke on and tried sizes 75-98 main jets but the bike keeps on bogging at full throttle.
could this be that i need an even bigger main jet? or something else entirely?
carb is the dellorto PHVA.
i am a bit of a newbie so help is much appreciated.

It could be rollers causing it. What weight are you running?

The standard jet on the NRG is a 53, so you are using too bigger jets. Also if you havent changed the rollers it will run very poorly.

as above.. rollers are too heavy, clutch springs wil be needed and the air filter will loose power on a 50 over the airbox.

Mine used to do it when i had a open air filter i put a 102 jet in with a leo vince tt and works fine :D

and is OVER rich. you dont double the jet for a filter... rich means it wont like to rev anyway. this is just a shoddy way of compensating for too heavy rollers, i see it a hundread times a year
