i have a aircooled with a stage 6 exhaust, malossi 70kit and a 17.5mm carb with 70main jet using airbox but i tried adding a malossi variator today it was just over reving and going way slower than usuall. i tried using 4.1 gram rollers and then tried using 4.7 gram rollers but it was just really slow and not opening up can anybody tell me what rollers i should use or if it could be any other sort of problem thanks.

with that set up mate 5.5 will be about right.anything in the 4s is too light. try a bigger main 75 you cant hurt owt jettin up , then plug chop it.

does not make a difference in winter or summer as u can get a cover that goes over filter which will protect it i had 1 for my pm tuning filter very good and not shitty air box as the box does restrict ure bike either way been trialed and tested

well rather safe then sorry, never had a bike seize, but iv had bikes bogg out on me in the rain. my bike performs just as well with a air box as a open air filter

Use the airbox, you dont need an open filter with that setup, it will run alot better with the airbox.

Start with light rollers, then add weight. With the jetting you start big then downjet untill it runs best. Its all trial & error

i prefer to use an open air filter although i have been out it rain and had it bogg out on me its not fun at all just buy a decent filter and you should be alright

You dont have a clue what your chatting about, do some research before posting inaccurate infomation.

    Zipkid94- Airbox's are not restricted.

im not sure but im sure some airboxes have some sort of washer in them which restricts them not too sure tho and also i was told the triangle airboxes are more heavily restricted i personally prefer air boxes!!

Come on chaps! Play nice! We all have diffrent ideas on how things should be! But the exchainge if ideas is how we all learn! I'm a newbie to all this, but it's intresting to look at both options!
