No, theres no adjustment in the timing, the plate simply on bolts and bolts back on in a fixed position.

Oh right, So it's a fixed component untill you take the stator off the flywheel, So it just slides off, seems easy enough lol

Have you got a upgraded water pump? Or anything done to keep it cooler?

I just fitted a new pump and run it with a high concentration of antifreeze/ summer coolant.

I was going to put a stage6 pump on and 1 of the bolts rounded off so I can't get it off.... So I'll just have to leave it for a while and get a garage to change it

Give it a tap with a hammer to loosen it , then grip it with mole grips to get it turning. If you cant get the grips onto it use a solid screwdriver and tap it around like a chisel, it should loosen easily.

What do you mean by tapping the screwdriver around? What a Phillips of flat head?

I meant using a flathead screwdriver, simply hold the blade to the head (not yours, the bolt!) and give it a couple of taps to make a little groove. Then angle the screwdriver to the right so it's at about a 30 degree angle and start tapping it whilst applying a pressure leading it anticlockwise. it should come off but the bolt will be nackered (it is already).

Mole grips worked for me , had the same problem......3 bolts, got 2 off and just so happened the last one was rounded o_O
