i have both the same and i have a 74 jet in myne , have you upgraded rollers and clutch springs ?
Mr Bizzle#3
Ditch the carb , fit a 17.5 delorto remove the snorkel and then jet as required. I have that setup with an 84 main jet and it's a flier. opps nearly forgot change the reeds.

i have tryed so many different things so ive decided to sell the bike :( as need a running bike for work :(
Mr Bizzle#5
Why sell, a little bit of fettling and you'll have a good reliable set up. I've done about 3000 miles on mine since the conversion and it has given no trouble. And it still puts a smile on my face.
