Oil tank has been removed by previous owner. I will endeavour to put one back on. Saves alot of agro. Plus a 16 year old will tend to forget the mixing of the petrol. When i put it back to an oil tank it sorts the mix out with no messing around. I tell you i will be an expert after all this.

thats the way, why let these youngsters have all the fun LOL HAHAHAHA , plus its ideal to just nip down the local store, no need to drag the car out etc etc , just hop on and go for a cruise :)

im 45yrs old going on 16yr old lol , who says us older folks cant enjoy the little two stroke scoots once in a while.

good thing is you will pick up on problems before the son does to, having rode before you will always have that foresight of a problem showing.
plus can tutor son in fixing problems that arise and care of the machine to keep him always rolling on two wheels.

what i would do is check a spare set of fuses into the seat bucket and a spare sparkplug and a sticky L-plate always good to have those at hand and if able a spare headlamp/taillamp-indicator bulb to, covers all the lighting if one should fail while he is out and about.

Insurance is cheap as chips and i am expecting fuel costs to be minimal. Looking forward to it

Got her up and running. Going very well then no electrical power. Done my head in. At the moment it just looks nice in the garage. Noticed the blue and white wire from cdi has been cut and grounded to frame. Cant find a diagram so is that correct. Cheers. Thanks for you help so far

Problem solved. Ignition connector block was rotten. Cut the wirea back and reconnected. Fired up and running like a dream. Well for 5 mins anyway.
