Right i just used the Easy start and the moped started for seconds by doing kickstart and then gone off. so what should be?
Take the air box off and spray some easy start into the carb mouth and try and start it , if it starts then you no its got compression and a spark , then you no its down to a fueling issue . ( but i don't see what kind of issue because ive got new fuel filter and vaccum line too.
I will try tomorrow as i got the moped on the living room and its bit late. Thanks anyway will update after got my new spark in the morning.
I tried without air filter and it starts and goes out, and it made some white smoke come out of the exhaust charging other battery to replace it.
keep trying mate if its starting with starting fluid and not on its own it may not be getting enough fuel
Yeah today i got with the fluid and it started then i tried again and started first kick and then it gone off because of the carburetor not being adjusted done, so i tried adjusting the carb and then i kick and nothing .
bit pointless messing with carb settings if it ran ok before the piston went , if it was me personally id take the carb off and strip it down and clean all the jets and everything else with carb cleaner then stick it back on also put fresh fuel in it if its been stood a while not being used , also never poor petrol down the bore can cause more damage than its worth
I will get fresh petrol tomorrow, also i stripped down the carb and cleaned it but my moped was not adjusted before so yeah
make sure u get the old fuel out first , and clean the carb before you put the fresh in as its been stood a while
mine had a problem where it had no electrics at all and sometimes it would start and then when i turned it off then back on nothing :/ anyway i stripped the bike down and the earth wire coming from my battery was so rusty and full of crap so after cleaning it and fileing it it started first time straight away with no problem
Checked all the wires are all good. Cleaned the carburetor again Checked if carburetor was getting fuel, unscrewing the cleaning screw. Checked the Petrol lines are all clean. Checked Battery all working. Checked the battery Fuse all working as its new. Has compression and spark other wise it wouldn't start with the starter fluid. Tried spraying some petrol into the carburetor in the same way as the starter fluid and didn't start up. any tips?
its not getting fuel to the cylinder then which can be a few things , there isnt enough vaccume to suck the fuel through from the carb , reeds are stuck closed , major air leak some where , vaccume pipe kinked , fuel pipe kinked , faulty vacuum tap , faulty carb float , blocked jets
