wont start after standing

hi all, i have a carb watercooled benelli velvet 125, i think same engine as yamaha majesty, anyway after standing a couple of weeks it doesnt like starting, its getting fuel to float chamber as i checked pump and no problem there, is the cold start device electric or where should i start? thanks

 

You would have a lever on the handlebar for the choke if it's mechanical.
When was the last service?

 

nitrojunkie, thanks for your reply and apologies for my delayed response. i rode bike probably near to 400 miles at weekend and a few minor issues have shown up. ill work my way through and see what shows up. ill respond with my findings
