You might have the unfortuneate happen one day, just take a breath and keep ya wits about you. . , 2nd,sounds like an ins. scam, take a walk around a few streets in london, you'll see bollards on corners of streets/some drivers bang them on purpose!. .
Took my first tumble today! was on way to girlfriends house back brake went abit soft so just took my time roads were wet, had been lashing down all day! coming down a slight hill to a zebra crossing and round about pressed brakes front brake locked up! hit the deck slid about 10 meters had bike gear on so escaped relatively unscaved! some bloke goes you alright son! I said I'll be alright if this piece of shit starts again! so no longer a falling off virgin
Iv'e came off my moped twice. First time I was doing no more than 5mph . There was mud on a side road because of roadworks, my front wheel slid from underneath me and I hit the deck sandwiched between the bike and the ground. My girlfriend simply stepped off the bike as we went down the jammy bitch! The second time was very, very wet! Doing 35-40mph, had to break suddenly, on a HUGH SHINNY man hole! I think they should have a gravel coating, they are so slippery! Anyone agree? Did a few rolls and luckily walked away from it... All these were over a year ago thankfully and I haven't crashed since. The second incident woke me up, big time.
not had the pleasure myself yet. nearly went down on my cbt, it was rediculously wet. was doing my emergancy stop, first time it took too long so had another go. locked the front, luckily got off the brake slapped my foot down and saved it went again did it a bit slower and made sure i squeezed that brake rather than yank it
Technically I've never come off a bike as I held onto it as I slid down the road. Tore the back pocket off my jeans and bent my centre stand. Got a bad neck as I was determined not to scratch my new helmet. As for my current ped, I think plenty of people have come off it, looking at all the scrapes on it.
