be original and get a zip SP, theyre the easiest to wheelie, theyve got a piaggio lc engine the same as a gilera runner, they look sick and i hear theres a new one coming out soon.
There a new zip SP in Kegra, got some rare paint job, front pan looks different aswell. Limited edition apparently :wtf:
Yes coloured cooling hoses, CNC heads, temp readouts, woop allsorts of shit that don't make any difference apart from emptying the wallet. AC is a damn site easier and cheaper to maintain for the novice on the scooter scene. Just to clarify, AC: greater heat expansion requires larger tolerences WC: controlled heat expansion therefore finer tolerances If that doesn't make sense; you can use a tighter fitting piston with better compression/seal in WC than an AC. Downside is all that extra 'power' is sumped by pumping water in circles. SR FTW (piaggio motor)
 only cause they are jealous dave runner for the win unk: dont get a drag, wont go round the first corner and will have fell to bits by the next :w00t:
if your taller then 5 foot 5 dont get a zip, you will look like a dam grass hopper . get a....erm... wait its coming.... oh yer typh
*Read this in a jeremy clarkson style voice* "Some say, that all the red Runners were hand assembled at the Ferrari factory, and if you was to scratch a bit of black paint off gaz's Runner, underneath its all red"
again in clarkson voice "they say they were crafted by the god's then passed down to only the most worthy riders from the top of there respective disciplin, others that they were meerly built by testicle happy italians and given to any chav capable of opperating a slide hammer... ether way, there bloody good fun" ha ha ha
Okay you've all raved on about having a piggy engine for the ultimate setup, but he's 16 he can't have a car the bike will be a day to day proposition, meaning sport/midrace setup, so basically a minerelli would be just as good. Scooters that will tune for day to day, reliable, wheelie, etc etc Piaggio Zip (forget sp unless theres one cheap normal 2t is cheaper, easier to find and easier to work on) Piaggio Typhoon (probs best bet) Gilera Stalker/SKP (typhoon in new clothes) Yamaha slider/MBK Stunt (say no more) Yamaha BWS/MBK Booster (many variants, all light and wheely) Yamaha Neos (bit naff looking but light and good engine) I haven't mentioned SR's purely because they're a fair bit heavier than them above.
Thats a strange motley crew of scooters youve picked there... I cant even remember the last time i saw most of them on my daily travels!! And whats wrong with having a piggy motor in std or sports tune :bird: With all the knowledge and info on this forum alone for maintaining/tuning piaggio motors, i would say thats an ideal excuse for buying one
Ahaa I recommended more Piggys than Minerellis lol but naturally Wollfy you're just being an arse licker ain't yer The fact is that when you start seeing the difference between a minerelli and piggy you're in a serious state of tune. For your average 16 year old though who will be using it day in day out so wants something reliable then either will be as good as one and other up to say 13bhp. I never said theres nothing up with piggy's, the fact i could have the head off a zip in half the time my booster could makes me lean their way. And then the "Motley crew" i've chose are all rather compact, light and simple bikes (all a/c) so good to work with, the lot will wheelie and haven't got sticky out bits everywhere like the sports peds do, so less likely to snap the panels apart in a fall.
