ryan hanley said his xk 100cc had powerbands so it would be fasted that on road 125cc's i was just pointing out that on road bike also have power band and power valves. if you take the time to read you would see that what i was saying.

if you dont know what a power band/valve is google it

I asked because your posting was not clear and I don't need to 'Google' anything on this subject.
I do know what a powerband is and I also know what a power valve is and they are are two different things. Powerband is a term used to describe the rev range in which the engine produces it's maximum or usable power.
Powervalve is a mechanical device which varies the hight/width of the exhaust port .
The addition of the power valve helps a two stroke motor produce it's maximum power over a wider rev range ie increase it's powerband.

most UK bikes come with the power valve(electric valve) unplugged you just need to plug it in.
on power band bikes the spring strength can hold it back but it mostly the road legal exhaust thats the problem. but that said a rs or mito at 115mph is faster that a XK, because the geared different

    your 50% right.

a power valve is a electric/mechanical valve which varies the hight/width of the exhaust por, that changes the power/toque points of the bike's powwr out put.
A power band is a electric/mechanical valve which varies the hight/width of the exhaust por, that changes the power/toque points of the bike's powwr out put.

the term power band is used more on off road bikes because they ONLY have a mechanical valve.
    AND
the term power valve is used more on road bikes becuase they tend to used the electric valve more but do also used the mechanical one, ppl like that have different names for thing that look different.

the other way the term power band can be used is to explain the power out put of an engine. Your should know that is the word of engine's the same words can mean many different things.

    Google is your friend

    No I'm 100% right :

The power band of an engine or electric motor refers to the range of operating speeds under which the engine or motor is able to operate efficiently. While engines and motors have a large range of operating speeds, the power band is usually a much smaller range of engine speed, only half or less of the total engine speed range (electric motors are an exception – see Electric Motors below).
Specifically, power band is defined by the range from peak torque to peak horsepower (or sometimes to redline). For example: combustion engines typically generate maximum torque at perhaps 2500 RPM. The peak horsepower might be 5000 RPM. Such an engine would have a power band of 2500 to 5000 RPM, in which the engine would be very efficient.

LMAO, yes your right the best bikes in race's used mina engines just like the one i have. speedfight 3 as same as ludix and i had one there slow even after i spent £2000 on engine. i piaggio is just better

BUT i was not slaging off your bike yours may be a good one but he would not be buying yours would he. he just wants a bike thats fast out of the box without the need to sped lots. a piaggio is the best out of the box end of story. mina is best after tuning. that way team spain use them and they win a lot.
