Yea I want a 125. All I'm thinking of doing is getting my runner to work and sell it. I dont want the hassle of paying out ALOT of money for when/if it goes bang. Tbh I want a reliable bike that can cruise at 60.

Are they reliable? I didn't buy the runner I swapped it for my rs. My rs seemed to be on its last legs. Put about 10k miles on it on 1 rebuild then was choking its self and thought might as well. Then the runner went bang just after we swapped he put a new bottom end on for me but don't know if it's right. Lol. The runner then sat in a lock up for a year because my parents broke up. Now got it back at the house.

Haven't got the 125 and would rather just keep the kit on it and sell it for a little more rather than spend a bit of money on making it worth less. The kit looks in good condition. Could you let me know more about the 2t? How reliable they are? How quick they go standered/with exhaust and things? How much they cost to run?

2 strokes need a lot more maintenance and can take less abuse when it comes to jetting changes. A stock 125 2 stroke or 4 stroke isn't going to particularly like sitting at 60 for long periods of time although most 17 year-old gilera runner 2 stroke owners would probably say their bike sits at 90 most of the time. o_O

A newish 4 stroke bike will sit at 6 and be reliable if maintained probably but it depends what sort of rides you are taking, your weight, your height, etc.

A pretty new gilera runner or any other liquid cooled 125 from a decent manufacture with a large screen fitted should sit at 60 fine and never break if you keep to the servicing. In reality however if you are planning on doing long trips on faster roads it makes a lot more sense to get a larger cc bike.

Well I'm about 6foot weigh about 11 stone so I'm not heavy. I will allways keep on top of maintince with bikes. I have seen typhoons, skippers, runners, rs, sr, nsr, cg, mito, aerox and speedfights all in my price range.

No kick start on gilera 4t's and the same starter motor is used for the 125/180/200 versions, so its defo good for a 210. If the bike wont turn over with a hand turn of the crank the kit is fucked.

Does the engine turn over with the spark plug out? Have you fitted the 210 kit with the std 125 head? The 180/200 vx leader engines have a de-compressor on the exhaust valve to help the engine turn over for starting. I'm not 100% sure the 125 has it, maybe the compression is to high? Tyr with the plug out.

Not interested in a 200 engine sorry mate. I have spent today cleaning the connections out and have got the bike turning over on the starter, thanks for the help. Will spend tomoz building it back up properly, get new plug, leave battery on charge tonight and hopefully tomoz I can get it to burst into life. A bloke my dad works with is coming down soon to drop me off a cg125 with no forks or front wheel but engine is fine and it's free so gonna get to work on that.
