Hi everyone, I own a 2017 Peugeot Kisbee SLN, and I love the looks but hate the the way the front L plate looks. I don't mind the back L plate as much as it's mounted below the number plate. I was thinking of trimming down the front and just leaving a small white box just bigger than the L but was thinking I would get pulled and fined. Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks.

You would be unlucky. Although I don't need an L plate, I run around with a number plate smaller than an A4 envelope and have never been pulled.

Depending on the coppers opinion I think.
I never had front L plates.
Figured no front number plate, why bother with an L plate.
    Trimming it is illegal though

Here's a good story about the law and coppers reaction to bikes.
One time (years ago) I had a 125cc cafe racer.
It's was barely legal. No stop lights, no indicators, no stand etc etc.
Noisy as fuck. 14k RPM redline...
I got pulled over by the fuzz.
    No front L plate.
I said exactly the same to him. No number plate why an L plate. Plus nowhere to mount it.
He asked if the bike was taxed etc and didn't believe it had MOT.
After a check he found out it was all legal and sent me on my merry way with a warning about the L plate.

Think I may have been unlucky tho

Feel like I might just have to do my A1 when I'm 17 and work my way up
