Cheap enough Stealthed out at the moment. I have a mate that's sponsered by Arata Exhausts so i'm trying to blag a full Ti system
Is that code for typical painful Honda used prices then lol? they look sexy with the gp style arrow system (one pipe under seat one side mounted)
I'm liking NOT having a sidemounted exhaust at the moment. I hate to admit it, but i'm quite enjoying it being QUIET with the stock can. You can fly around flat out, and nobody bats an eyelid lol.
yeah most stock underseats look tidy as they come, shame they have fallen out of favour with the jap manufactures (mass centralization is key tho they say) you know they are more market hype then real world advantage bud?
Well, compared to my old '94 with its shitty forks, that make it damn hard to roll a stoppie. The 600rr's USD radial front end is dreamy.
indeed compared to your old CBR they would be miles better, due to age not design, but compared to a good conventional pair the difference is minimal marketing hype leads bikers to believe radial mounted calipers are a new race trickled technological advance (they are a lot older then their 2003 debut appearance), when in truth they are more down to suspension advancement in swapping to usd forks which makes it more problematic to mount conventional calipers. radial mounted calipers reduce flex when braking, but that would likely never have an impact on the road or even the track unless you are a very talented rider/racer. its more down to cost ; (eg you can use cheaper calipers to do the same job as a more expensive conventional model) though you do get improved pad wear characteristics. the weight of modern calipers is the greatest benefit which comes as a side effect of how they are mounted
Just from feel though, i know a radial master is better than a standard master cyl. As for the fork debate, the runner's USD's were shite lol. RR's are nice. I've ridden the 04 RR with the RWU forks, and it didn't seem as buttery. Could be in my head lol.
again this will be down to the quality of the components on your old stunter rather then the design, a radial master cylinder is the similar principle to a radial mounted calipers, their about the direction the cylinder is placed which is said to improve feel, but again id be surprised if you could feel it on your average road ride, half of the shit on a supersport bike is to make it a better platform for race teams not for the road riding public, hence why they have lap timers..... but no fuel gauge  like you said a runners usd are not all that yet most of the high end scooter forks are rwu. its down to the quality rather then straight design. yeah the 05-06 RR's are nice, honda were a bit lazy with how long they took to update it but for the vintage its looks are still very modern
I get stunned when i see the fuel gauge on mine. Can't remember the last bike i had with one. The runner i just filled up when it felt light
