Can I borrow the hive mind of the forum? My newly rebuilt tomos is STILL not sparking. I suspected the coil/cdi (its a vespa one). But just tried 2 others and still no joy. Ive checked the voltage from the ignition coil on the stator, the ignitor pulse coil and ive bypassed the ignition switch. So to sum up: Voltage to coil/cdi. Ignition pickup. Good earth. What am I missing here?
Ok. Fixed it. I put the spacers wrong on the pickup hall effect sensor. It was enough for the sensor to create a pulse, but not enough for the cdi to make a spark. Funny, measured it with a multimeter... We all make mistakes huh?
