ian was a really nice chap ,he loved his fx. scorpious he called it .it rode it every day to work come rain or shine ,i remember a freezing cold day lying under scorpious putting a new barrel on we had to keep retreating to his kitchen to warm up lots of tea smoke and talking rubbish ? he visited me afew times on scorpious 80 odd mile round trip once in a right gale but he loved the ride ,i rode half way back with him once and he was such a carefull rider ,i had to keep stopping to let him catch up i always ribbed him about it ,he would just laugh ? he had been having trouble with his hands and the doctor had told him that he only had about another 12 months of riding left before it would get to bad to ride ,this was hard for ian well you can ride forever now mate when i see a silver runner i will be thinkin of ya you were a true friend one of his wishes was to have some of his ashes scattered from a scooter around the roads he loved and his daughter has suggested thats what i do ,thats gonna be one hard ride . scorpious ian loved it called after the sticker not the pipe
