So ive got all the stuff i need to paint the body of my bike. Im just wondering what else would look well painted with a spray can ?

I want to paint the wheels black, and the crankcase too. Do you think this will look alright when done? And how durable is your normal canned spray paint ?

should i invest in proper alloy paint ?

well it depends if you want to to make it look like it has been done like a pro if you want to look like a pro, get the alloy paint, or if you just want it to look okay not so pro then go for canned spray paint but thats in my opinion

The exhaust will be painted with heat paint so it dont burn off. But the rest im gonna have a bash at. If it looks shit il redo it properly lol. Im also thinking of stickerbombing some parts of the bike as well to hopefully save me painting the whole bike.

Make sure you prep it really well. Then prime it , put a very thin layer of black over the primer then get some 400 and a bucket of water and get rubbing. Any black bits left will show your imperfections then either rub them down or body filler them. Its all in the laquer withbaerosol. Im lucky enough to work part time at a body shop so i prepped mine and had them sprayed st pearl orange for free in yhe booth :p

Use 600 grade wet or dry between coats. If it looks flat or orange peel like, just use a very fine (1000+) wet or dry to flat it and then use a cutting compound and finish with T cut and polish. If there's enough paint on a panel it's surprising how well it will polish up.
