    well the time has come!
    I've sold my scooter for a measley £150 quid sad times I'm going to miss the useless lump of shit!

    Keeping my eye out for a gp100 or rxs100 sometime in the future!

    I'm not going to be that active on here now I don't have a scooter but I'll still pop on for a nose about every now and again!

    thanks to everyone who's helped me out through my painful ownership of a french scooter!

    Not all French things are rubbish.
    Can't think of anything good right now but I'm sure they must have something good somewhere.

    Haha! I'm pretty gutted I don't have a french heap of scrap to open the back door to now! I've looked into 2/ crossers etc fancy a dtr but out of my range atm!

    Got an interview for a garage tomorrow, so if things go my way and I have a stable wage I'm gonna see about getting an rxs or gp100 over the winter to work on for the summer!

    but on top of that I need a car too haha

    in reply to rebels reply, If you can find a good point about a speedshite please go buy yourself a beer and give yourself a pat on the back because I couldn't!

    SF Rider has good points about his speedfight after spending a couple grand on it haha!

    Also the kid wasn't happy who bought it!

    It went like this, I put the scooter on Newcastle Gumtree under Peugeot Speedfight 100cc spares or repair project.

    Kid rings me up( I say kid he was 26 or something ) says I'll come for the scooter friday, I says ok; as stated in the add it needs a drivebelt to get running again.

    So the kids rings me like 6000 times asking questions about the scooter all answered honestly, he then tells me he is already insured on my scooter to drive it away ( stupid boy )

    Around comes friday morning he turns up with his pal, I had jack james coulson around with just incase.

    I fit the drivebelt for him and his pal test drives it, comes back from the test drive says aye its fine I'd take it.
    He offers me 150 and for the sake of getting rid of it I accept.

    so log books signed and sent away off he plods on my scooter.

    I have 2 missed phone calls and a text from him 4 hours later..

    I read the text and it read;

    You knew for a fact this scooter was f#cked. I'm still not home, the exhaust has snapped off on my way home, I thought you were a canny lad, obviously f#cking not, I'm foaming this scooter is nothing but a bit of scrap

    My reply to the text;

    sorry to hear that, I sold the scooter as it was seen and it was advertised as spares or repairs, You had a chance to look over it when you came to see it, your friend test drove it and you chose to drive it away.

    He then said;

    You knew about the f#cking exhaust though you f#cking mug.

    Told him there no problem to my knowledge as I had fixed any problems I had!

    I was hoping he was going to say "I'm coming round to sort you out" as my reply would have been is that before or after you've pushed your scooter home hehe!

    Moral of the story don't buy a speedfight from a mackem and don't sell one to a mackem haha!

    GP (100),
    Absolutely all tine favourite bike/hans down!,
    had several over the years an totally caned the f..k out of them -
    Everywhere I went!,maintenance was fair easy an hardly ever had
    to replace much in the way of parts bar say tyres/tubes/chains + occ.
    cable,just basically filled up with petrol/rock oil,
    very fond memories of them!,
    had one at the time I took my test in '91,but ended up renting schools
    rxs at time as 'concerned' 'bout bits. ;) .,
    In the end the rxs nuked itself in about a 100 yds. :) .

    Be looking forward to it!,
    Good way as a start-up as well as you can make it your own!,
    Myself/be keeping it simple,micron/upjet/drop bars and that's it -
    cause back then it was all 'bout the rider making best with pretty much
    what he had. :) .

    thats what I'm thinking looked at flipping bars and stuff for a cafe look but not sure, it will have a micron though!

    It will be a slow project with maybe an engine build and frame restoration or something maybe over a 12month period but will be worth it!
