went and picked up the NSS300 Forza, im well chuffed with it, the guys over at the dealership even put the kettle on, will no doubt be in there again in a few years
got quite a few looks with trumpalot going pillion all the way to the hospital and even the scanny person lady had a go at us when we both came in with bike gear on
went over to Walsall to show it off to my brother and to rub it in his face a little, I even let him have a cheeky go on it around the block
been riding pretty much since 11am - only came back for dinner - im off out again :D

sorry MK, but if it helps, it's ferrari red. Standard grey primer but if you want it a more brilliant red colour use a white primer as it tends to show the brighter colour through the red top coat.

Be using £ shop red/self,won't be a brilliant job.but competant,be using grey primer as well/all over,as won't be concerned with certain parts on 70....as not 'painting' as such - but sealing.mk.:).

Sometimes it's good that the weather is bad, like today for instance.
Not so many customers so managed to get the Katana done.
Just got to repaint one lower panel and it's finished.:)

done mine with pound land rattle cans...should have shelled out for some proper cellulose and air brushed it on..would have used a lot less paint and got a better controlled finish.vision only took 250mls to do and bugger all over spray to speak of too..

Will do a general all over, then a more thorough 90-100%.
Looking for that dusty box tucked in a corner somewhere to get a cheap job lot.;).,
will take in a bare chaincase 1/2,for a test fire to get a basic idea - don't reckon that'll be a problem as seller will realise will be able to sell on.

good morning mark..if you feel adventurous, try a bit if thinned down enamel paint and a soft brush..goes on lovely and flats nice.after it dries,a quick polish and you would think it came from a gun. The art is not to keep dragging it once its on.if you need to build it up,let one coat dry and rub it down a bit and do another one.then if it needs it...a quick once over with a fine paper and a good compound to bring it up to a bang on shine....no mess,no over spray.

Finished painting the Runner yesterday, all panels back on now, looks nice, I'll post the before and after shots over the weekend.;)
Picked up some 3mm 'T' connections for the Katana's oil pipe re-configuration, ran the first half tank of fuel dry this afternoon on it, re-fill tomorow and run again to aid the running in process.
The apprentices SR125 is all done and gone:D , that's another space in the workshop free. He's as happy as larry, and apparently his mother loves the colour of the Runner and says he should have it painted the same. It was a very quick NO from me.
I'm not going to start the Gilera Ice project until both the Katana and Runner are sold and gone. Not for any other reason than I need to have a clear out and clear up of the workshop. The shelf space is all over the place, it needs to be re-organised back to how it was, plus i need a bigger stock cupboard. There's a couple of engines that need doing, main bearings and the like, and i may as well paint them whilst they're apart:rolleyes: innit.
I desperately need to have a look at my 1100, it has a nasty grinding noise from somewhere in the drive line, and it has a valve rattle:( .
I've 3 vx125 engines that need sorting as well, hiding somewhere in the darkest depths of the underside of the bench, plus there's a bit of woodworking to do.
I wonder if i'll get round to tiling the kitchen floor before christmas.............................

Ok then, here's what it looked like when i bought it. Not too bad really. All the panels hanging off, front end primed but not sanded and the back end was a mess

Well, the Runner is up on Fleabay, we'll see what interest there is.

    Delves into the aladdin's cave downstairs,to see if that's where I put the spare barrel,that i'd +re-bored for laters....and discovered what's essentially 50% in metal,as i'd forgotten it'd come with spares...........
I'm thinking of a holiday (wonder what time offie opens.!.) :D.
