i already have a recliner chair, tv, xbox 360, stereo, small fridge and a microwave in there. im good :)
im already in trouble for forgetting that I was supposed to be taking her out for lunch today.... which means im on the sofa tonight... don't really mind, im not sleeping tonight and ive got the night off so.... im doing lots of research on scooters and bikes etc... the wr400 could be a good investment, paint the frame and plastics, tidy everything else up... easily sold for £1500-£1700 providing its mechanically sound as described.. if I sold it for that I could get something else and upset her even more! its brilliant! I really do fancy something like a sr with a 172 or a runner 180, im getting annoyed with the vision project, got to the point where I got pissed off and ive totally messed up the frame now but if I don't get the wr400 and I load the car up with some tools, theres a lovely vision about 150 miles away for £250 in a complete state and now I know how to mount the speedfight engine without messing it up aslong as I can figure out wiring its all a systems go.

Well the Aprillia sr125 and the Gilera sp125 share the same lump, i'm just about to do a rebuild on the apprentices sr. You can buy a NGF 172 kit from PMT for £127. Runner 180's are a pig if they have been ragged, the piston kit will cost you £70 to replace. And it's an engine out and split if the water pump goes.

80 miles... £9.40 in petrol and £425 later I am now the owner of a wr400 with 10 months MOT. gonna get it stripped and frame in primer today hopefully and start on the panels tomorrow, get the frame painted tomorrow, have the panels done Friday or Saturday and have it reassembeled sunday all going well.
I may be sleeping on the sofa for quite some time... good job I got a sofa bed :D want this one to be a quick flip around with big profit in mind.

theres a few sr125`s sub £500 advertised needing a little work. stop encouraging me you nasty nasty man! ;)

I had an hour sat in the living room with a big sheet under the bike. I was had the forks etc off and was about to take the engine out of the frame when she walked in... oops.
    her - "whats that"
    me - "whats what"
her -"whats that fucking bike and why the fuck is it being taken apart in the living room"
    me - "what bike, I don't see a bike"
her - "go fuck yourself you irresponsible twat"

your really trying to make me hate you aren't you? nah in all seriousness, would be nice to just get a standardish looking sr125 or something, tidy it up, take engine out, new crank etc etc 172cc it and just have something fun to go to work on, something that's easy to filter through the early morning traffic in city centre and something that just every now and again I can open up the throttle on but not be totally stupid. suppose a 70cc set up could do that really...

    NEW scooter alert :-
girlfriend got pissed off with me constantly changing bikes etc and has told me to sell everything and just get one scooter that will last me. the car is going, all the bikes are going and I need to make space in the shed for one of these beautys, the Honda nss300 Forza. at £3,500 It deffinately wasn't cheap but its perfect for what I do now and should cope with a couple longer distance journeys. ive gone for the white colour. no mods for a while but im sure a few will come eventually when I get bored with stuff ;)

    dont get what you mean.
I may chop and change a lot with bikes and cars etc but everytime I sell a car or bike I make back what it owes me + profit where possible so im never loosing money. If its about the gf - I knew I was getting the scooter anyway just needed to piss her off a bit more to get her to want me to do it so she isn't as pissed off when I do get it. its not like I can exactly just get rid of her now is it? a happy trumpalot = a quiet life. a quiet life = a happy scootz.
im not chopping or changing for a long time, im going to keep on with the vision project and keep the NSS300 for a good few years, were sharing the Picasso when I need to drive but its a change that needed to be made. I will have a reliable commuter that I can run around on too and isn't too expensive to run and ill eventually have a little toy to rag about - after that im done until it comes time to do my unrestricted licence and then ill consider moving up to a bigger bike such as the Suzuki vstrom 1000 or the tiger 1200

Funny, I just chopped in my NSS300 Forza for a SH300i.

The Forza rear suspension absolutely killed my spine, it's so harsh. The SH is much more comfortable, for me. It's also quicker off the line than the Forza. It's the same engine, but develops 26bhp in the Forza and 28bhp in the SH.
The Forza is a very practical scooter, just wasn't for me.
    I didn't want a Silverwing 600 and a Burgervan either, although I do have a full A unrestricted licence.

I cut down my scooter screen today, with the help of a jigsaw and a power sander.

i tried the SH300I but just didn't get on with it. i didn't like it in the corners, just didn't feel right and on the dual carriageway section i went down it just wasn't good enough. i tried a second hand "burgervan" 400 and hated it. tried the NSS300 and fell in love with it in a strange way. i also think the NSS300 will perform better than the SH300 when carrying pillion for short distances which i tend to do a bit of. its a bit of a slow dog compared to the SH300 but its just right for me.
im on a A2 so im restricted to what i have but if i find something i really like i can have it restricted down to my licence.

How funny. I thought I loved my Forza too, but after living with it for 3 months, the pain in my back was unbearable due to the harshness of the rear suspension.
I find the SH handles much, much better than the Forza, but then again, I just came from a CB500X to the SH, so I guess I'm used to the handling of a bigger-wheeled machine.
In the end, each to his or her own. If the Forza works for you, best of luck with it. Me - I'm happy with my SH for now..... ;-)

did you adjust the suspension on the rear? they wouldn't let me adjust it for the test ride but it looks like its adjustable. though if theyre not and i don't like it over time ill just get some custom shocks made for £300 lol
ive come from having a triumph tiger 800 (first full licence big bike) to having a cbr600 to then having nothing because i crashed it lol, im much happier on automatics but one day ill get another triumph.
ill be voiding the warranty but don't plan to keep it anyway, will be doing all the work on it myself, making sure its done properly and if it fucks up its my own shit :)

Yes, I adjusted the pre-load, it didn't compensate for the cheap shocks Honda has used.
A Tiger 800 on an A2 licence? Restricted, presumably?

    oh yes, "restricted" ;)
can be restricted down by simply changing a block under the seat, mine erm.... just happened to..... malfunction so standard one went back in until a "replacement could be found" ;) lol

started rubbing the runner panels down ready for painting. New decals will be here before the weekend. Also doing the rear wheel off the katana at last. Told everyone go away til after the weekend. Doing the apprentices engine as well at the same time, although his will be a different darker silver than usual. Busy days and nights.
