All lacquering is now finished and I am waiting on the paint to fully harden through before buffing. I've ordered one of these to go with the retro Peugeot Lion logo for the front panel.
I have some of these to go with the chrome Peugeot badges on the side panels (and possibly one on the front mudguard or handlebar fairing, not decided yet).

The stickers are clear lacquer resistant, so the panels will cop for another coat of lacquer once the stickers have been applied. Should look nicely retro and tasteful once done, with some nice contrast against the dark red.

I'm still waiting for my neighbour's mate to fit the tyres though. While I'm waiting, I can finish off the remodelled clocks.

Yay!! The tyres are being fitted tomorrow! That means I can get the back wheel on the engine, bolt up the exhaust and get it ready to fit to the bike.

I printed and laminated the new fascia today and it looks cool behind the lenses. I tried tracing paper and it looked a bit dull, so I printed it on normal paper and once laminated it looks great 1n a matt laminator pocket. I cut out the odometer hole and trimmed the outside, it just needs the holes for the needles and mounting screws to be done.

I need to sort out the hole in the back of the clocks for the rev counter now, so that it fits correctly and work out how to mount it. There are two screws that held on the original dial face and I hope that these will be good enough.

    well.
that's this weeks ped budget gone.
    today I got -
peugoet speedfight 100cc engine, rear wheel and engine mount.
vision front forks, brakes, wheel and handlebars.
vision front headlight and a few strips of LED`s.
paid £50 for the lot so pretty happy with that :)
all put in the shed along with the frame ready for when I have some time to play.

also need to convince gf that buying a camera is a good idea.

Finally got the barrel off the Katana to inspect it, definately done the piston, but not too bad really.
Bottom ring is shot but the rest of the piston is only lightly scored, as you would see on a normally used piston, as is the barrel.
So a bit of wet and dry on the piston body, a new set of rings, and a barrel hone should sort it.
Might have got lucky with it.

Got my wheels back tonight, it's good news and bad. The good news is the front wheel is OK. The bad news is that I marked the wheels inside the rims with chalk with the direction of rotation and due to being tired, I marked the back wheel up wrong - bollox:mad:! I've arranged to get the tyre turned around tomorrow night.

Note to self: Don't do these things when you are totally knackered at the end of a long day.
