    A bit of an update.

The new, front wheel bearings (SKF - nice) and shaft seal, the rear shock absorber, the adjustable angle air filter, the gearbox oil, some of the stickers and the replacement red rear light assembly arrived today in the post. :D

The air filter can adjust over quite a range of angles and it fits exactly as I wanted it to, following the line of the transmission case. My OCD monkey wouldn't have been happy with the filter sticking out at an angle.

The black and chrome effect shock absorber looks more like the Trekker original one than the later Paioli one and that's good, as it helps the overall 'retro' look of the bike along.

The second-hand red rear light lens has come up like brand new, after a quick going over with some Duraglit wadding metal polish. This stuff is great for buffing out minor scratches in plastics as well as for polishing metal. I can now replace the awful clear 'Lexus-style' lens on the bike, that I have hated from day one.

I'm going to wait until the tyres and valves arrive before I take any more photos, as I want the engine standing on it's new rear wheel and have the carb ready jetted up, to have the engine ready to go back in the frame. That will give you all an idea of how the engine room will look before it gets fitted to the bike and I can show you some of the details.

I've also got an idea for the top of the Dell'Orto carb, as the 90 degree angled adapter I have won't work with the existing throttle cable, that already has a 90 degree angled part on the end, but that isn't threaded and is intended to fit the Gurtner carb. I've ordered some M6 threaded straight cable adjusters, the type you would fit to pushbike brake cables and that will work a treat with the existing throttle cable. :)

    OCD monkey...we be brothers 'n arms.:D. -
replaced my Lexus lenses almost immediately.still not got around to putting clear bulbs/though don't think that'll matter,
not doing a pukka build like yours, just commuting/repairs - have come to the conclusion/recently,as replacing forks...makes sense to do rear shock as well - thinking about a relitively cheap Forza shock.
Airbox is staying standard, already cut my own filter (that was fun,but got it precise.including thickness),sanding std. exhaust down bare & probaly spraying with grating c600 degree fireplace/grating paint.
Taking a chance & re-using front wheel (new bearing,+swapsies with tyres on e\b set) - getting both bearings pulled/leaving 'new'wheels bare of;)

The rear shocker I bought was £29 from Tornari-Moto on eBay - that's a lot cheaper than a Paioli replacement. If your engine is the vertical type, I have that spare Technigas Next R exhaust here that just needs a mounting bracket.

washed both the ped and the bike.
    polished them.
then got OCD and ended up redoing it and fully valeting both of them. now sitting here in the garden, sipping a ice cold beer with the dog at my side staring at the bikes.

    :) :) :) :)

Would love to shoot up to Nottingham, one day.with a few sheckels,to their site.!.,
had a few bits for the Honda(s) from them, pretty sure lenses from Peugeot too -
can only hope there not just put on shelves for selection, have to be restrained,so I would.;).
P.s.,have that un-restricted streetfighter chrome, for mine...have'nt fully worked my way around having to properly deal with the air pump.....yet.

Forget the air pump for now, just pull the pipes off and get the other exhaust fitted!

Had a right scare today on way to work
Went over a bump then could feel revs dropping and watched the speedo go down then bike decided to die on a junction right half way round corner
Pushed it onto path tried starting it
    No luck
    Electric nope
    Kicked it no luck
Got tools out and set to work
Couldn't see any reason then checked kill switch dunno why but glad I did my phone had jumped up and knocked kill switch
Put bike back together pushed electric start and whoopee doo she lived
One of those daft heart sinking moments...

    @ Mark

You'll need a one size larger main jet in the carb if you fit the other exhaust. ;)
