Actually the Malossi is only marginally softer than the Polini - so my ride to spain was ok. Unfortunately GF managed to pull her fuel pipe off the tank this evening at work (facepalm) so I had to go on a mercy mission to fix it & refuel the scoot. All done - and everybody is home.

This is a very perceptive comment ! Perhaps I'm doing it all wrong and I need to just stop providing 60mph plus performance with the scoot..........

GF just bought herself a new Yasuni silencer ! :p This is progress ! I'll still have to fit it though.....

Are you inferring, missus is no longer considering the 'pleasure' of driving a car.?. :).

The only time she's had any pleasure in a car - it was me driving. I wasn't driving the car......;)

There is no pleasure in driving cars ! You know this to be true. Just fitted silencer. Better. But we need something a little more radical. Involving exhaust pipes. And the 'stinger' and welding. I'll say no more - but will report when I put the plan into action. It should, according to a reliable source - make a C21 sound like a kitten mewling - instead of a pissed off tiger on amphetamines who has just swallowed a busted chainsaw. But without any performance change. Hmmmm. I'll get back you on that one.

Noooooo ! I'm after the 'can't bloody hear it' sound. Tricky. But I have a serious idea in a book I read about two strokes - and I intend to try it out. Currently - if I 'open her up' on a straight - cars virtually drive into the ditch to avoid the shockwave. That's with a reconditioned silencer with fresh rockwool and the airbox inside the (damped) seat bucket. This is not good Karma.
Will report if I get good results.

I am on holliday and DIFOKB ! God I love Friday. But when it's friday and you're off for two weeks ..... - I'm about ready to spurt ! :)
    Projects for this weekend are:
Tidy the garage. It's a disaster area.
Put my Polini clutch back in my scoot and the Malossi back in my GF's scoot (maybe take some photos and do a 'how to' ?)
Tidy the spare bedroom. My kids arrive next Tuesday (Hooray!)
Find the tents in the garage because we're going on a secret waterfall/camping mission
Lean out my gal's scoot (too rich)
Swap my 100 main jet for a 102 and solve the subsequent 'only works at full bore' take off (and no, slow jet's don't do it - it's a slider-thing)
Find a couple of 'U' bend steel pipes with the same internal diameter as the stinger on the Yasuni pipes so we can try the noise reduction stinger mod.
Have a good weekend folks !
