Have you ever tried an ultrasonic cleaner ? I have seen amazing results on the net - and of course the beauty of the thing is - it does the same to the carb on the outside as the inside (the slow circuit!)

Ok, they're clean. I wouldn't need to paint an engine if they come up that well.

    None.
just been over to my moms.
put gearbox oil into the torpedo for my brother, took the carb off, cleaned it, put a hole in seat bucket, connected air filter under the seat. sorted his ignition out. wrapped the wiring. removed front indicators ready to be replaced. just needs a better battery and some fuel + brakes and itll ride. but will he listen to me? will he fuck. might just take the ped back and finish it myself. hes too interested in getting his new Honda.

I have to go to machine mart anyway, need some stones and flap wheels for the other 'larger' dremmel. A Makita Die grinder. Great piece of kit. 3mm and 6mm colletts, stick a flap wheel into that and it fetches everything off and polishes the surface as well.
This is the one i've got. Mine works on 110v so i have to use it with my compressors transformer box. By 'eck it's got some torque to it.

The POS vx runs, lumpy because of no air filter or choke, but it runs:)

Looked at my GF's scoot - she was complaining of it cutting out. Opened the seat - her massive lock was resting on the fuel pipe. I assume this was obstructing flow because when I re-arranged it it flew. Girls ! (facepalm). I even like the way they annoy me !;)
Did nothing the rest of the day except skateboard my arse off in the 162 park. I hurt all over.

1:45pm on a sunday afternoon, and i'm in the house??????
Painted the wheels and belt cover for the zip, and the belt cover for the Katana.
Had to strip the Katana's cover, it was right shite. The jet black paint on it all looks lovely, really deep look to it and its not even laquered.
The washings doing, the dinner is cooking, the vacuum is waiting, I've a huge mug of tea, I'm posting this, then gonna play some Call of Duty i think.
Can't do anything in the workshop for the rest of the day.
    Happy Days:)

Just swapped clutches with my GF. She was using the Malossi (and I thought the take-off was pretty good). I was using the Polini (and the take-off was pretty mediocre). So I swapped the clutches.
I only tried hers - and now it's perfect. Goes from '0' to 'Ohhh shit' in nano seconds. this does not bode well for my machine. Which I did not test out of respect for the neighbours. It means my belt is too fat. Can't put any more washers on the variator. Hmmmm -
