was going to do the katana today, didn't happen. Was also going to cut the grass, that didn't happen either. Instead, tidied up the garage, got all the stock together in one place, made a new cupboard for it all, sorted it all out, nicely put away. Got ruthless with the tidying up as well, threw out two engines, frame, handlebars, tanks, bottles, etc etc.
    Garage is much tidier.
Apprentice came round, he got bored, had him start to strip the spare wheels for my zip and the belt case, ready for re-painting. Probably going to sell it at the end of the month.

it is a nice looking bike, BUT its just not me. it can be made to look better etc, I had a sit on one the other day when I was at Yamaha and it was nice but, its not me, its not loud, its not shouty, its not in your face or aggressive and I felt that the r125 did that perfectly, it was loud, fast and when I was on it, it was kind of like, YO BITCH LOOK AT ME, IM HERE. sorta thing. the MT125 as nice as it is, just isn't that. and I like that in a bike.
it looks too much like the sym wolf etc, its just another generic bike where the r125 wasn't.

ive taken a liking to the brand new r125, I think that with a acrapovic exhaust again will be my choice but im still looking around at the moment.

Personally ive not seen the MT125 in person but i have seen the 2014 R125 and sat on it. I plan to get the R125 Next year but the MT125 is still a nice bike but ive only seen it online so i cant say for sure.

The MT125 uses the same engine but is designed to be a street bike so quiet but if i remember and mounts the exhaust so you could put the R125 acrapovic exhaust on it i assume

as I said it is a nice bike and if I was after a nice quiet commuter, that would be it, that or the burgman. but I want something loud and shouty that's enough fun for the weekends and the odd evening where I fancy showing up to one of my brothers little scooter meets to show off and make little boys with their derestricted china peds with monster stickers on cry. I want something that will just take the corners on like theyre nothing, the old R125 did that perfectly. I could really throw that thing into the corners and got my knee down a good few times on it and I could hit the rev limiter and get that lovely pop pop pop from it when I downshifted and slowed down. every time I got onto that bike it really made me smile and feel special (probably because I am - before anyone got that joke in) when I sat on the MT125, it just felt like any other cheap china crap that I could go and buy for £1000 less, it was nice but didn't make me smile and the position just didn't feel right to me but then im used to supermotos, scooters and sport bikes. If the MT125 was..... a bit more aggressive then yeah... maybe id consider it but I don't think it would be right for me... the R125 is what im going for again for sure, ill have all the extras fitted and put off my bike test for a few years so I can just do my direct access. I just ride for fun now, not for commuting, not for shopping or anything like that, its not my lifeline anymore because I have use and access to any van or car I want pretty much and I can choose when I want to ride.
the only real complaint I have about the old R125 was that the headlights weren't as bright as they could be, I wore through tyres like mad (probably just the way I ride) and if I took it all the way to the rev limiter in 3rd then shifted to 4th it would splutter a little if it hadn't been ridden for a while. all stupid things really but then the new R125 should be a lot better.

taking my brother to Coventry to look at a Honda wave 110 brand new, its like the old cub but the new one... he can get it on finance and afford it and he needs something decent. so he might finally be able to keep up with me... until he hits 55mph that is then hell get left in the dust ;)

the exhaust was just about salvageable, has a dent in the downpipe which ill have a quick go at popping out. I threw a different exhaust on it before insurance took it, they didn't even say anything about it. its a write off, only good for spares, frame was bent. never to be on the road again. the guy who hit me - his insurance were being dicks about what happened until mine has told them that they've got video evidence and the driver has been done for quite a few driving offences. hell be in court next week.
ill get a nice pay out for the bike + leathers + helmet which will cover the cost of the new bike + ill put another £400 ontop, then ill be having injury compensation because of my knee, but that could take a while, worse thing is its my bad leg that the knee was dislocated on.
