    Nothing like this then.
This is how i started, way back when, created my home office in the one of the spare bedrooms, then sat in here for hundreds of hours, the pages in these books are as thin as the ones in the Old Testament. DSC_0265.jpg

Way beyond a skill set,i'd ever hope to aquire-
got a anti-study thing going, against what society 'thinks you should have on board-
makes things difficult for me,even if I WANT to learn something, that could possibly be beneficial to me.:(..

It actually helped me loads, at the time i bought a brand new Tiny computer, top of the range back then, when the Pentium 850 processor was the dogs gonads and a dvd reader, not writer, just a reader, was an upgrade. Biggest monitor they made back then was 17". Cost me nearly 2K. And we only had dial-up internet, none of this broadband malarky.
then i bought another computer which was knackered and used that to do all the stuff it said in the books, whilst viewing the tutorial cd's on the main computer.
Used to take about 4 hours to load windows 98 and all the Microsoft Worksuite. But it was worth it, now i can screw up my system in seconds, and have the complete set-up re-installed, as it was, completely fresh and un-adulterated, in less than 7 minutes.
The TV downstairs can link to the computer and play all the films i have on it, the neighbours can piggyback the broadband if i allow it, my computer can be an absolute ghost on any website i choose to go on, stopping anybody registering my IP address for their purposes, and if i choose i can also change my static IP address to a different one. Though some sites don't allow you to use their site unless they can see your computer address.
There is so much that goes on behind your computer without your knowledge it is unbelievable; the amount of data that sites capture without your knowledge is scary. Even when you click the button to say i dont want to be tracked, you still are.

I taught MCSE classes for a private school in San Diego, Ca. before I decided to get a real job. It was fun, but teaching is the same stuff over and over.

As for home computers, I just dumped a bunch so I am down to 9 quad core systems, 4 laptops, and a few embedded computers for machine control.

Bought 3 helmets the other week,
the chinese pudding basin I used yesterday.whilst I bought it specifically for the V/C...and it is well made and constructed, padding is too hard and internal shape is'nt conforming well with the shape of my head,it was giving me a tension headache,
So on the backburner, till I can re-pack properly-
got a loverly helmet made by THH.which i'll use now, fits nice and comfy,+made in Taiwan........
when I was younger, eveything was made in Taiwan, not China.

Pulled the carb to clean the float jet. The damn Chinese POS was filling the cylinder with gas.

Adjusted the valves to .004" to see if it makes a difference.
I ended up with a 8mm 2" bolt left over... WTF?
Tomorrow morning will be a good time to figure out where it goes. Probably the fan cover somewhere. I hate left over parts.

At least it runs again. I am getting pretty damn quick at pulling and disassembling the carb. Adjusting the valves is a 5 minute job on this thing only because one head cover bolt is in a terrible place with no clearance. Freaking Chinese design.

I don't really worry unless I am working on the frame or suspension. Don't want any parts left over from those jobs. A loose cover, no big deal.

I just went down to the garage to smell the oil... It smell like gas. Not suprising after a cylinder full of fuel.
Looks like I have a job for tomorrow. Oil change. Glad I remembered to check.
I ruined an engine as a teenager with diluted oil after flooding. Freaking amazing I remembered to check 45 years later.

About the only think I have lost off a bike is the chain. Shot out the back and not into the primary. Happy boy.
VWs on the other hand... I have had to do a U turn and pick up my exhaust before some one hit it.
I lost a side door off a '62 panel van, had to go back for that one. It made for a noisy 400 mile trip back home on the West Coast of California. If you are going to have an open van, might as well be there.

No, I would be dead by now if I lost major stuff from bikes and scooters.
