video tomorrow. I'll film my commute to work. Short & sweet. Got trouble with my gf's capricious effing scooter. All signs point to an air leak. I have my suspicions but I need to ddrop it off the frame & test it. Another vid? Might as well.... Grrrrrrr.

Tried to remove my centre stand today with no luck. The centre bolt is fully seized in and very awkward to get to. :(

Ive got one like that on my loonie engine. Can't get it out. Might have another go now it's off the frame, but it's cut and does not interfere. And I have the side stand and no center stand so I don't care.

You're driving it there???? Get the thing lifted and the focus delivered.
Not going to be far from Park Farm i think, going to Round Spinney first, then a park homes building place that i've been going to for 6 years now and can't remember the name of!!!!

+1 on getting it lifted - you will be creating a hazard for other road users especially motorcyclists. then theres the damage to the engine... if it runs out and gets below the min mark on the dipstick.... the damage could get ALOT worse... seen a transit that had no oil in before... had to have a new engine..

What condition are the reeds in, Steve? At this stage, I'd be looking at the inlet manifold, any rubber connecting hoses and the reed block.

Just a normal bolt on side stand for Neos/Ovetto. One of the best investments I made. It doesn't interfere with the kick start. Which the center stand does. As well as the fact that the original center stand is made of plutonium and rubs against the crank case. Sod that!

Reeds look fine merlin, just changed the manifold because it had a massive tear in it, however i'm ordering new manifold gaskets and reed petals tomorrow anyway. Need to order some other gaskets as well for stock.
I changed the fuel tap as well because the other one was free flowing, could have been an issue not entirely sure but, after i changed it, sucked on the vacuum pipe and fuel flowed, connected it to the carb and nothing whilst cranking, so it's pointing in the direction of the reed block i think.

The reeds could be fatigued and might have gone a bit weak Steve, so changing then is a good move and ensures a good seal. That bike will suck an orange through a hosepipe when you've finished! :p

Which one? The zip or the nrg?
Just ordered manifold gaskets, reed blocks, cylinder gasket kits, exhaust gaskets, and a new cylinder head for the nrg. Thank god i get proper trade prices:D
Either way, at least one of these two will be running right before the end of the week.
Then its the fork seals on the vx, then i get to play with the 21mm carb on my katana.
Oh yeah, i'm supposed to be having a typhoon bought in shortly, electrical problems:(

Lovely! Was looking forward to meeting technodimwit at park farm today whilst on the rounds, could have had a buttie and tea at the snack wagon just down the road, got in this morning at 7, driver not turned in, had to juggle the loads round and I lost out. Not happy. Sorry mate, maybe another day.
