    @Merlin
    Found a hard chroming place not far away, if they answered the bloody phone i'd have a price by now:mad:
    The forks aren't pitted at all, just worn in the area of the seals, commuting damage over the last 7 years i think, and £269 for the tubes is a piss take to replace them. Good idea about the 3 stage process, i'll give it some thought, but now you've said that..............i've been toying with changing the bars on it for a while, done the top yoke conversion and put 10" pullback bars on it a while back, much more comfortable through heavy traffic, wondering whether to change them for 12" pullbacks.............:confused:

    on another matter, just got home and a lad is waiting at the gates with his zip, broken of course, several weeks ago,
    "Steve" he says, "moms made me save my pocket money to get my bike fixed properly, so can you sort it out for me please?"
    Whats a bloke to do with something like that!:rolleyes:

    i do, kinda, they say they want this doing and i say can't do that until you do this first, then that, and thats gonna cost you £****.
    Then they look blank, and go back to their phones:D
    There is one lad though, but i've had to put a stop to him, entry level wannabe mechanic at a dealership, keeps wanting to use my tools to do little jobs on his mates scooters, told him if he wants to be a spanner, go fekkin buy some!

    nothing ped related but works got me a van. for work use only ofcourse.
    a mk5 transit crewcab tipper which is soon to be converted to a nice tidy little tow truck with a spec lift body thats sitting in the yard from a old van. so this afternoon/evening spent some time on it. wings are off, sills are being redone and ripped the interior out. had a little play about with it and its slow as fuck but with the body still on the back we decided to load it up with as much shit as we could find. think we had about 2 tonne in the back and it still pulled it well. gonna love messing about with it and driving it i think. sills and wings should be done by end of weekend and cab getting painted beggining of next week. then the spec lift body etc will be put on and it all plumbed up properly/everything serviced. then itll get signwritten and ill get some nice flashing orange lights :D god im such a kid sometimes. im just excited about having big flashing orange lights :D

    I got a magnetic one for my pick-up, good for when i go pick up broke scoots at the side of the road, not that it happens that much, normally they are local so i tell them to start flat footing
