Got some paint stripper, should help clean my grey plastics up, going to go get some wilkos paint tomorrow to paint some of them black instead of grey.

Got a question, if I was to do the foot panel on the zip should I just simply paint right over it? or should I prime it before hand too

Fairy washing up liquid, and let it dry properly, then spray straight over the top. It's gonna get scraped anyway from your feet, so a decent but quick job just to smarten them up

if its a quick spray up then a quick wash and dry off and wazz a bit of primer and let it dry and then bosh a top coat one.wilkos do a good matt black and its acrylic so wont react with the under paint.

Was going to use cans, will brushing be better? I'm up for doing what ever is the best I suppose.

I understand they'll most likely flake when scraped with my feet and such, but a little spray over once in a while won't hurt.

the stuff in brush on is normally acrylic.that wont re-act with the original surface.if you use spray, both have to be same type too..normally their celulose so make sure the paint on it don't react cos if its acrylic under the celulose,it might bubble.

I see, not too sure what paint to pick up now..

This is the stuff I was going to pick up tomorrow for the panels

    http://www.wilko.com/wilko-multi-su... paint&VBMTC=5aff78da8c54c9c47347d6641d658f3b

Just isn't a lot of information on the paint itself.

???,what about just giving your footboards a good scrub-up/no prep.or paint and getting a rubber mat made, say held in place by ?screws.that you can remove regulary for cleaning.

I like the idea, I still might do that i'm looking to paint it for 1; smarten it up and 2; I just don't think the color of the foot panel goes with the rest of the ped..

Here is a picture I found where you can see most of the panel

Hell if the foot panel was a darker grey like the rest it'd be no problem, it just sticks out like a sore thumb.

Some of the chemical components used in paint, solvents, etc.can be dangerous in large quantities,so info is usually availible.
