Just spent an entertaining half hour aligning the stage 6 with the crank case (prepared for Metrakit pro race). Putting it on tomorrow with Yas 16 and some admission mods. Photos to follow.

    Soaked carb/jets in cleaner o'night,
when stuff done today, have a nice variety of nylon fibres of varying thickness/stiffness to thoroughly clean internals, etc.,then put aside for straight fit when all bits are ordered at some point.....

It's nice working opposite a bike shop.:D Done the front wheel and just cleaned it. Turns out to fit an mc3 front wheel, you need to put the spacer from the standard wheel on, cause the mc3 one is too big!

    LOOK AFTER YOUR BRAKES!!!

Ive had my scooter since december, i did the brakes back then but only a temporary job, today my brother took my scooter out, coming down a road approaching a roundabout there was literally no front brakes. why?

this is the old pad (right) next to a good brake pad (left). because i havent looked after my brakes my brother almost killed himself today. if he didnt ride the scooter up onto a kirb and onto a path then stopped using the rear brake from 30mph he would of put himself into the back of a lorry.
dont be an idiot like i have been, make sure your brake pads have good meat on them and check them weekly! change your brake fluid every 6 months and make sure theyre bled properly! my brother was lucky today and i was lucky that he was clever enough to ride up onto the path at 30mph and lucky nobody was on the path.
needless to say, the scoot wont be getting ridden until ive sorted the brakes out.

Wormholes in the space-time continuum ! They are invading my garage. The place is out of control ! Sometimes they drag - sometimes they drop.

Here we are. All ready for start up/liquid/less rollers/bigger jets/new clutch springs - Yee haw !
This piece of legal shit is off (actually - it's not too bad with a Yas R - it has been 'doctored'.

This however - is a different beast entirely........

Try the odd sock drawer, Turbo. Maybe the Odd Sock Aliens stole it, via your washing machine.

Gonna have to turn out the garage (NOOOOOOOO!) - but I've got a C21 collector on there. It might be alright like that. Or it might not....... The C 16 collector is about 5 mm longer - so it will want to rev higher - it might be a good tweak in fact ! We shall see.

Well I gave the C 16 a tush last night and put it on. Removed the silencer - took it apart and then cleaned the perforated tube (it was no longer perforated - all the holes were welded shut with burnt oil and rockwool. Cleaned all that & then re-stuffed it with fresh rockwool. Hey hey ! She starts - and makes a helluva lot less racket - even with the C 16 (the race version - not the 'city' version). It's almost legal noise-wise !
Clutch tonight - then rollers and some carb set up on Friday - and we're ready for the run on Saturday.:)
