    yeah, road legal tyres.
so to recap, ive chopped the back end off,
    removed the 17 inch rim,
fitted an 18 inch rim to cub hub,
trued above mentioned rim (can you beleive i got it to only 3mm runout by eye before i trued it?!)
then scratched my head as to the next step...
i need to redevelop the swingarm somewhat as the wheel needs to be all the way back because of the huge tyre....
also im wondering about the front light, im going for an old school 50s style scrambler look....

maybe one of those kepspeed +4 swing arms that should give you a little freeplay on chain tensioners.

50's style scrambler : 6inch round metal lamp retro fitted with led units to keep amp draw to a very low , grab some metal/plastic grate and place that over front to give that rugged 50's styling of offroad use ;) . if not something like a square rd125lc front lamp thats a kinda old school look but plays with the squared front from the two down forks and triple clamp use

im not really into buying parts for a custom bike, takes the fun out of it....
i had a play with square lights and they just looked wrong, i think a round metal one is the way to go, like old brit bikes have...

yeah buddy but instead of buying one, i had a thought ......... your also a car man to, those ford escort rally front lamps, they what a 6-8 inch build and you could just gut the rear out and slip a led blub in ;) . mounting wise , fork clammps in that A style and build/weld a bottom plate so you can bolt direct to. that way you can angle left-right and tilt up down to set the light pattern for mot passes ;) . plus some come with that plastic grate effect, so a quick spray in some silver wouldnt look far wrong .

See if you can find an old CG 125 rear swing arm buddy im sure the old c90 rims fit it and it would give you a little extra clearing on that rear rubber boot fitted . trawl the free adds and mainland breakers yards for a cheapy, i will have a word with my guys over hear see if they have anything laying around that could be shipped over to you on the cheap

Where is the fun in buying parts?!
Thanks! See if you can get yourself an old passport/cub/ct you can still get them cheap over stateside. A cheap ct is well worth buying!
