thats the whole thing, its all down to trail and error, all engines are different with different setups etc.

o.k the only way youre gonna solve this problem is to get your rollers out,

weigh them and then start trying lighter rollers, going down half a gram at a time..

untill you find the correct weight that works with your pipe properly ;)

if there 5.5 std (dont know to be honest) then 4.5 will raise the revs by 10-20% during accel and probably top end as it sounds like its stuck revving bellow the powerband and is not actually making the power to pull the top end of the gears in there (stock) just remember, the guide is a complete rundown of how they work, if you understand how they work you will know how to set the weight correctly.

well i was talking to slayeh on msn and we figured it revs good when its on its stand and sounds as if it is a rcoket but when its off the stand it doesnt get as high with revs it jsut gets like half way. so he said get 4.5g rollers and it should be better. :punk:

well get some decent scales then, Tuning and set up isnt about buying
random weight rollers and chucking them on the bike and hopeing for the best!!

what happens if the 4.5 gram rollers dont work??? are you gonna pluck another random number out the air or is there some sort of plan here.

Im sorry to sound a bit abrupt but this simple operation has turned into an unnecesary drama :w00t:

ive got a fairly cheap pair of digital scales that way in grams...now if i place a 6gram roller on the scales they read 6 grams...its as easy as that.

if youre scales are giving you shit then they need binning...or you dont know how to weigh something properly,

in which case you shouldnt be allowed any where near a variator :w00t:

i was going to buy 4.5 if they dont then 4g then work from there lol not just randoms. oh and my sclaes are meant to be good digital ones. i have old rollers that are burnt to peices in now and they all weigh differently :msn1: i put one on it read 2g then 2 rollers weigh 6g and its all fucked up :msn1:

use scales that mesure 0.5g minimum.. and get the 4g rollers, if there too light (revs too much) you can use 3 and 3 of the 5.5's to make 4.75g
you should be able to figure out what weight you need from there

minor the reason i said not to do that is because his old rollers are so mismatched and fucked that he'll end up with a variator less balanced then margaret thatcher on a high wire.

tbh i think go with 4.5s, that what your not gonna rev the bollocks out of it but if they do need lightening you can drill a small hole in each until they rev properly
