yeh ive noticed theres not many about on ebay or gumtree,
the exhaust is quite rusted, the downpipe literally just rusted through last week so if i get it welded i think it will go again quite soon anyway,

unless you know anywhere in north london that could weld it up cheaply to get me by for a few weeks?


another option is to get a sito replacement in a ocuple weeks or so i suppose, cash flows not so good at the moment,

na its the actual exhaust/silencer ive just replaced the downpipe with a brand new one but the exhaust is thick rust so i will have to keep trying to find one,

just when i thought it was getting closer to being ready lol,

just a couple of extra pictures today, got basically everything done today apart from the exhaust and a couple of other little bits,
now ive seen the red belly panel on the bike im seriously thinking of painting it satin black...
still no luck finding a second hand exhaust :cry:

na i paid £400 or 450 for it 6 months ago, just gave it a little paint and clean up,

well, run into a bit of a problem now lol,

finished doin the exhaust and everything on sunday,
took the bike out,
done less than 10 miles
semi siezed :banghead: :evil:

i noticed my oil pump was jammed open when i got it home and had a look :cry:

looking for a cheap second hand cylinder/piston at the moment and then removing the crappy oil pump and going premix,

not much of an update but im gonna strip down the bike on monday and see what damage has been done to the cylinder/piston,
also gonna be removing the oil pump and oil tank,

soon as i know if it definately needs a replacement cylinder/piston i will order one
also probably gonna order a filter would prefer a closed type though, ive seen this doppler


are they any good? if not any suggestions of a decent filter that is fairly protected from the elements and dosent sound 2 loud?

im only changing the filter 2 fit the nrg/ice mudguard bracket 2 put my reg plate on,

ive got a fresh a/c topend here needs rings as i took them of and lost them lol yours for £45 posted i might have a sr exhaust too but ill have to have a dig out in the shed im not 100% sure tbh

cheers nrgandy, ive got an exhaust now and a friend has a 125 cylinder/piston which he said i can have so ill grab that off him sometime tomorrow after ive had a look at the damage on mine,

if his is bad condition ill send u a message and probably have that on off you,

right,
well mates bore was wrecked,
so had a look online and managed to find a brand new original piaggio cylinder/piston kit for £95 delivered
ordered this morning and will probably fitting it on monday :cheers:

also ordered new rollers (i think there the right weight 12g) as everything is standard on the bike,

just need to get a pack of jets and the air filter,

right, got my cylinder and piston out and the cylinder has very slight marks but the piston is finished,

got a replacement off a mate for nothing but was just as unusable,

thought about another second hand one but found a brand new genuine piaggio replacement cylinder and piston for £95 delivered so no point in trying to save £50: :cheers:
gonna be fitting it on monday i think, just waiting for the gaskets to be delivered

good to see new bits being used you only need a base gasket btw. now just get a l/c ignition to get full advantage of that topend it makes a good difference.

ok,
well i got round to fitting the cylinder/piston today,

got the bike back together and all done,
had a ride around and all seems well at the moment apart from my front brake which i need 2 take off and check the pads/pistons as the brake went from soft lever to sharp and solid lever once or twice,

im premixing now at 20ml oil per litre of petrol,
im thinking of increasing that for a while to run in the cylinder/piston?
