    Hello all.

I have found this Polini Evo 2 to the cheap price of £120,-
    Is that cheap, or what?

They are only £130, think they come from Stage 6. It's supposed to be in the same "league" as Polini Evo and Malossi MHR.

They have a matching exhaust as well.

    R-Setup 14K exhaust

    Item RS-UPIA-01
    3 in stock
R-Setup 14K is a new developed hyper racing exhaust on a par with Yasuní C21 and C30. It is made of 12 separate cones, which are laser welded, which ensures small welds and a very high and consistent quality - unlike hand welded exhausts. Exhaust can be used on both AC and LC cylinders - we have particular gained 20.1 hp in combination with R-Setup Racing AC barrel coming later this year. The silencer is made of solid carbon, in contrast to most other exhausts where an aluminum absorber with a thin layer of carbon fiber glued. The actual departure of the tube is made of stainless steel, giving a fat look and long life. The actual exhaust is painted, making it highly resistant to rust. Overall, the exhaust of a very high quality, minimum match even the largest on the market.

If I buy this Evo2 kit and exhaust, how is the driveabillity for everyday use?
Will it pull only on high revs?

I have learned something new today :)

I did just discover that there is a big different between hyper racing and racing exhausts.
You have to remove the senterstand if you shall use a hyper reacing exhaust.
The downpipe has a different shape in the racing exhaust, like a "S" which the hyper racing don't have.

Than the best combination must be this setup.

Or will this also work ok?

But then I loose the centerstand, and that is not an option.
Then I have to choose the Malossi, as this cylinder will work good together with the Yasuni Ciyt 16.

tbh i would go with the evo with the c16 city it will perform well with that and wont get in the way of your stand. you could use the mhr rep for a bit better reliability but aslong as you keep an eye on the ring on the evo it will be way more worth it.
have you had a look at the evo 3? not realy as reliable i wouldnt think but would be way more then worth it.
personaly id go with my 1st choice

Acording to a Norwegian scooter forum, this is the best option for everyday use.
I will think about it a see if I will settle for this combo.

just be ready for regular ring changes and pistons aswell at intervals as its a single ring not exactly what id pick for a everyday cyllinder mate

I did'n have to correct length on the elbow, so the wire is too short.
I will have to order a new elbow.

Update: I did fix the problem by cuting the "hose" 1cm. :)

every single yasuni i see makes me feel strangely horny... lol i was about to post (just cut a little from the throttle sleve" but you figured that one out :) as people have sudgested, a single ring kit is not the best for every day use.. from what youve said it seems norwiegan forums are the same as english... lots of people recomending things they have never used befor lol every day used id say the airsal t6.. same timings and port layout of this kit but alot cheaper and has a 2 ring piston..work alot better with some further port work as there a little rough. if you want something thats nice fresh out the box then ether the mhr rep any of the good named iron kits or find yourself the cheapest motorforce kit you can find.. belive the lowest is double ring and is almost identical to the stage 6/pm ali kits...

lots to think about.. single ring is DEFFO not an every day use cylinder tho.. dont let the kids who dont actually have one fool you.

my airsal lasted a good 6 months of serious abuse and i do mean serious abuse... polini iron kit lasted and lasted and lasted untill i layd a corsa map on it, soon ate the rings (couple thousand miles still) the rep was a good lil kit altho i did run it lean and melt away the top of the piston = mangled piston/barrel... out of everything ive used on my own bikes aswell as other peoples, i would NOT rely on ANY 70 for a daily driver unless it was iron, or was ali and had real lazy ports..

power or life. cant have both with a 70 unfortunatly.. racing parts are not made to do tens of thousands of miles

I have now been driving the scooter with the Polini 70 alu. cylinder with a 17,5 Dellorto and the new C16 City for some weeks now, and I must say it works really well. It was a BIG improvement over the rather small Technigas Next exhaust and the original 12mm carb. I don't miss the 172 Runner either, and that must be a good sign :)
