Hello fellas... Been a while... Got good news.... The monster is alive!!! I'll send some pics over shorty and a video for u, especially for all that helped and replied to my newbie messages....one question before takin her out on a spin.... O have an AC motor... Currentl got the plastic that go over the cylinder but plastics around the flywheel is currently on backorder... Also I have a lightened flywheel die by shiny.... Would it be safe to run it without the plastic shroud that goes over the fan? Also is it necessary to put the fan over my flywheel while running?

no fan is unsafe for prolong useage i guess, as there is no fan to pull in the air to cool the block

you can ride about for 5 10 mins at a time without the fan on... its sitting in traffic and full throttle blasts that kill ac's... if theres nothing covering the cylinder (bike plastics) you dont need an air cover providing your moving and not sat there

short answer is yes its more likely to blow... but your ok to test and even sprint them wihtout it. i sprinted a monster of a typh engine wiht no fan for 6 meets with no probs... ridden one with no cover for 5000 miles befor it blew up, even then it was from me taking the piss... its best to ignore this, but if you ride them nicely and have plenty of air feed you dont need one.. but yse it asap

thanks minor for answering......now i wont take a piss while riding......haha......nah i got the idea......well sorta......lets just say i have a fan, head cylinder plastic but no fan cover??? thats the part im missing......seems like enough air feed but.... oh and these wheels are called wagon wheels....they come without a hub so im gonna have to fabricate something in the machine shop to make the rear work.........oh yeah......all of a sudden i stopped getting spark......it has been running fine during a few test runs....i stopped the bike to let sit while working on a friends bike and when i tried to start it up again it didnt start.....checked spark and seemed to mis-fire then eventually zero spark...could i have fried my cdi? stator seems fine....both yellow wires giving current...all pick up wires showing signal to my probe but still no spark o_O

Nah changed out plugs and coil plus i checked the stator... After a short wait (. 15-20 mins) in between cranking the motor I would get 1 spark which causes a back fire effect.. If I crank again immediately then I get no spark... It's weird but I had similar problem b4 with a minarelli motor thatused the ducati cdi...changed the cdi and jackpot...it may be something else but I have a good feeling the cdi is fried... Possibly bad ground ? I dunno

check for obviouse things.. your engine earth wire, your positive starter wire isnt bent to earth... silly stuff. then dissconnect the plug (2 yellow and one gren) if you get a spark theres something amis with your ignition wiring.. if you still get no spark then ether the plug cap, ht lead, coil cdi or stator itself is at fault.. change/check in that order.

 Hey it's been quite some time.... Been busy! Thanks for the advice minor.... I actually went n got me another malossi cdi and as soon as I pressed the starter button "BAM!" turned out the cdi I had before probably got grounded or shorted somewhere in the millions of wire I cleaned up.... Since then I've been workin on mellow cruisin n breaking in my mildly built motor... Here's a lil pic update.. [IMG]

she's nice and torquey yet zippy at the same time.... Wish I did it rite the first time and had it shipped to u minor b4 it was shipped to the USA but soon enough I'll need to take this motor apart and let u work ur magic....

I was shitting bricks at 78mph lol

Why not "listen" to what Dwarf recomend, and use a Polini variator?
I have heard that Polini ones work best in this engine.
(Even PM Tuning recomend them, and their own type is based on the Polini as well)

"Polini variator set to 180 spacing and Polini 180 belt"

antoher thing.......minor.......i noticed in another thread a guy bought the wrong dell carb......im looking for a 25mm dell now since my 28 pwk is drinking gas like crazy....i like the performance of course but for daily cruising not too ideal......im sick of pulling over every 20- miles to dump gas since the honda ruckus only holds 1.3 gallons.....so if you can lead me the right way i promise i wont purchase the wrong carb from pm tuning lol...
