The panels was sanded down alot before the filler primer was put on, then about 3 to 4 coats of filler primer sanded down between coats to get a smooth finish and obviously all the other coats of paint. It takes awhile but it's all worth it in the end
LOL, very good point but i'm not that creative and i donb't wanna spend loads on a flash job as it'll prob get dropped a few times, so nice and easy to re-touch panels! It's got the white wheels, tranny cover, stator cover and spoiler, thought about inners, horn panel, mud guard and clock cover kind of a viper stripe, sound ok??
Alot of sanding and prep work, sanded between every single coat apart from the last. so far have come out mint ( should look even better once they are polished up and on the bike )
Funny you should say that, i fanceyd doing gloss red with the white wheels, but the shop ran out of red and i'm too impatient so i bought black, also i'm spraying my big bike black too so i guess they'll match!
Lol, I too am going to be repairing and re-spraying my bike No idea what colours yet though, possibly similar to what it is, but having some white somewhere That looks brilliant, gives me an idea at least
Foot boards are in the process of getting preped up aswell as a few other parts shouldn’t take that long to do! I'll post pics once there done, will look just as good as the inner panels imp:
Sand it until it's smooth and the cracks/bumps can't be felt anymore. Pictures will look different depending on the panel condition.
It will be worth it even though it doe's take long. Took me a good few weeks to get a nice finish on the panels, Well worth it though
Roughly round about 2weeks maybe even more not constantly sanding though. There's alot of different stages which you have to go through. If your unsure on anything just ask imp:
