Worked a treat, moves nicely now. Going to try and get her built back up today

Got her built back up, turns over a treat with no plug in but can hardly move with the plug in... Now think I've burnt the starter out as it doesn't do anything now. Compression to high? Or just an unlucky 24 year old starter motor.

Check the compression using the Kickstarter.
Probably just unlucky with the starter motor or starter solenoid.

The new starter has arrived and fitted but still not strong enough to turn her over to start her .
I've not fitted her kick start back on yet but starting to think the compression must be to high so may travel down that avenue

Think I've found the issue the be piston doesn't have this hole for some reason.

Can't see that making a difference. Compression isn't measured at the side of the piston.

Just put a new barrel, head and piston in. Turns over a treat until the plug goes in then the same problem it's like it can't turn the engine.
    Any ideas?

Not sure how you upload a video?

    That's not a plug issue.

The starter Bendix is bending without the belt cover on

The 17.5mm carb I'm going to toy with fitting the airbox from the 100. Currently I run a 75 jet, what jump do you think would be a good one to jump too?
