Just brought some main bearings for my project and one side of the bearing has a plastic cage and the other side is open wich way round do they go the website i brought them off says open side facing the crank shaft maybe im being blonde but the shaft runs throught both side of the bearings do they meanfacing the crank webs ..... but if that is the case how do the bearings get lubed from the oil fuel gide holes what are drilled in the cases from the intake if the cage is blocking the bearings any help/advice please

if they have the plastic seals, the seals go facing outwards, when you pressed them in, you didnt press them in too far did you? the oil feeds should be clear. they get oil from the mix (you know it like swills around the crank). hope that helps
I not to sure but you normally fit bearings so the writing is facing towards the crank
Yes the open side goes towards the crank webs so when your fuel/oil mix goes round the crank area it lubs the bearings too
