i cant say for sure but i think the disc and calliper on the vivacity wheel sits inside the rim if you get what im saying
Yeah it does so it will look like the rear gilera runner 180 disc only just gets on. to take caliper of you have to take wheel of but look sweet
Ok there must be room for a bit bigger disc. well my side casings nearly done should be finished soon so i can crack on with my peugeot metal x forks. gunna polish the showa bit and leave the rest standered. gunna get a bigger disc one way or another it cant be that hard ill keep you posted if any ideas spring up
yh sound mate, like i say im not sure yet ill know more when i get my wheel and fit it, im hoping i can fit a 280mm but i reckon the calliper wont fit.. if not then im fitting an NRG wheel and moddifying it to fit.. i want a massive front disc
wooow dude you need a twin disc on the front lol holy cow. If i had to stop i like to no ill stop to much break fade on drum my sp 100cc used to struggle slow down was glad to have that big disc to stop me on the runner
lol drum brakes arent that bad aslong as there serviced properly and fitted with good quality sintered shoes, you should use around 70% front brake and 30% rear when braking hard or you'l just skid so ill be fine with drum rear
yh they tell you that for a reason because when your braking hard the rear wheel is light so if you use too much brake it will skid its the proper way to use your brakes, obviously its different in wet weather.. just using the rear brake is wrong its 70% front hence the reason people fit BIG front brakes.. and mine is L/C
Heres a little mock up of the rear mount.. Im going to cut as much of the thread off the top of the shock as possible and the lower piece of box section is going to me the smallest i can possibly make it..
This is my first idea but iv thaught of a better one ill try it out when i get some more box section tomorrow. Mock up with petrol tank on.. Bottom piece, still needs about 10mm cutting off the top and im going to reinforce it with a plate on the back, but as you can tell by this picture with this bracket its going to raise the back end up when i move the shockits too much material under the frame!! i have a sulution but need to draw it up and think it out..
Heres the other mount im thinking this is alot easier and has more weld surface Ill make another one but abit longer iv just mocked it up with this peice for now.. In this picture you can see its gonna drop the back end about 10-15mm. Check the different angle and compare it to the picture underneath, i cant get a pick from futher away as im on my own.
that rubber bush at the top of the shock is not the one im using, the original gilera runner bush is half the size and ill be ordering the bottom and top rubber asap
