Ok so just been looking at ways to make my engine to look better gunna sandblast and polish and drill air holes for the clutch makes in the side casing engine will look much tidyer. srt lightened fly wheel on way whoop. i need to get my bike on a weigh bridge to see what it weighs in at ino a speedfight frame is much less metal than gileras. when youve sorted puting your engine in and had a race round you should the fit the 172 kit the power in such a light frame makes a beast. im back into spending money on it now im well behind your speedy was the dogs balls before you even start mine was like the dogs sh*t lol
mate if sumone nicked any of my bikes i wouldent even call the police there useless and just want to be nosey, the little fu*ker wouldent make it out of my garage alive! and im not bolting this engine in properly untill its had a full tune-up and rebuild, MALOSSI everythink! crank, top-end, exhaust, CVT variator, kevlar belt, clutch, gear-up, lightened flywheel, 12v water pump, 26/28mm carb, big reed block, . and my malossi bore kit will have the transfer ports opened out and the cases flowed, the exhaust port needs opening out and matched to the exhaust stub.. trust iv got my work cut out! i painted mine myself, my advice is paint yours with a nice set of colours, i find if you use a base colour like black or white then add afew little bits as a key colour like red, orange or green and dont go too over the top it will look the dogs danglies! or you could go with a theme like purple and red with cadburys whispa stickers, blue and red with pepsi stickers.. if you get what i mean.
Shock arrived today and she's a beauty And me showa USD's, just need to find a wheel that i can have a big disc on Do you know this geezer, he's building this at the mo an its a beast.
This is the shock next to my engine.. not the rite bush mount! BTW my engine is out of a piaggio hexagon 125. slightly diffrent to the runner. This is it on my dads giler runner engine.. perfect! Looks like i need to buy a gilera rubber bush mounts.. not a problem.
Ordered a set of 12" wheels, both 3 spoke slightly diffrent from each other but im not sure if the NRG front wheel fits on the vivacity forks, my mate has got loads of scooter spares ill have a look and see if he's got any NRG front wheels to try in future, the vivacity wheel was only £20 so cant moan.
Got the fork bottoms off ready to paint, now i need to polish up the slider/stanshions and prep the fork outer tubes
Finally getting sumwere with the rear shock mount, im hoping this will work check this picture for a rough idea what im doing, i might have to shorten the height of the box section as it will raise the backend up but i only need eneugh room to fit the thread coming on the top of the shock. i dont even need eneugh room to fit the nut as i could just lift the bike up and put the top nut on
ill take the parts to work tonight to cut them properly with a wet diamond cutter and grab abit of box section out the scrap bin iv seen some the perfect size
Bitubo gang Does it work straight under the frame? Back of the speedy always looked a bit narrower to me.. (bearing in mind you want the engine and wheel centred) you deffo know them better than me though tbh lol Looks nice and solid though. Pretty sure you can get slightly thinner rubbers for the top aswell too if needed later(can you tell i cant weld)
its not perfectly under the frame its like 10mm to the left when looking from behind thats why iv got that piece on top, its gonna be slightly diffrent from the picture and it will be perfectly straight when looking from the back, you will see when i get all the bits tomorrow i hope the engine sits inline with the front wheel ill check when i get the forks and wheels on
Ah i was looking at the pic the wrong way round i thought it was from the front not the back lol. Yeah thatll be really good i reckon. Should try and get a nrg front wheel on those forks aswell would look so good and they take the biggest discs and i dont think ive seen it done ever
yh i want one but the peugeot front brake is loads different, ill wait for a wheel, brake and speedo to come on Ebay cheap an ill buy them and make some spacers to fit the calliper, i just want the engine fitted for now so i can get it all painted and start the engine tune-up.
infact im just gonna buy a nrg wheel this weekend, i found one for £24.. worth a try. and stage6 sell a 280mm disc
Why dont you keep the standered wheel get a pm tunning whoop disc the biggg one take the standered one of get one made so it bolts on as standered but be a copy of pm tunings whoop disc make a bracket for the caliper jobs a good one
