Mate I've triple checked them and I've put a 120 jet in that my bike has been running on for over 12 months without a problem. Do you think it's a blocked exhaust?

For everybodys sanity. Go spend £15 on a compression testing kit (its a investment and will be very usefull!) its a tool that youll use over and over. trust me.

Oooooshhaaa Ooosssshhaaa think of happy thoughts :)

I said exactly that on my first post, 10psi will blow your thumb off exactly the same as 100psi does. Compression test and +1 on scubabikers theory of a leak somewhere.

Just because the top end is 8 months old doesnt mean its good. Anything can happen in 8 months. Cheap chinese metal wears down quick. Compression test just to make sure its still good.

No need for the that like if your not gonna help me fuck off me post! I stripped the whole engine and checked it. I bought a £15 compression tester and had to buy a valve to fit the bike size and now the tester won't fit on the valve because of the frame of me bike. But the compression went on it that's why I done the top end 8 months ago and can tell the difference

Speak to people like that on here and you wont get any help from any of us.

    Very simple.

If you dont listen when we are trying to help then ofcourse we are going to get a little pissed and take the mick a little to lighten things up. Its going to be one of two things. COMPRESSION OR A AIR LEAK.

Top end may have been done 8 months ago but its been running since. Metal wears out and even if things are fine visually you might find that the rings have worn down a bit and just want replacing, it actually happens. For the sake of it, find a way of getting the compression tester on and see what the compression is at. as we have already said (we probably have around 90 years of experience between all three of us, possibly more and i used to teach this stuff for a living) 10psi will blow your thumb off exactly the same as 100psi does. You might find it at 50psi and thats why it will run but bog down.

It could be a leak - Check the manifold properly, It could be a tiny tiny tiny leak that you havent seen.. another trick is a bit of warm soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the manifold/airbox and youll see where theres a leak if there is one.

Sorry guys I reacted like that because I thought he was either having a go or taking the piss. Apologies! Got a adapted to fit the compression tester and got 100 psi is that ok?

    100 psi is good.

So that narrows it down to a air leak or wrong jetting.

Most probable is air leak. Is there a GOOD gasket on the manifold? if not, fit a new one with a quick dab of gasket gunge, dont just use gasket gunge on its own. is the manifold cracked/perished/rotted at any point? if so replace. Does the carb fit onto the manifold securely and correctly? Is the air box secure and as with the manifold, does it have any cracks/perishment/rot? is there actually a air filter in the air box? if all of that is ok... then its time to start looking at jetting. Get a pack, work your way down from the biggest until its spot on. We cant tell you the exact jet because its different for every scoot regardless of the make/model.
