Don’t worry mate. I’ve ridden a speed fight 2. Their good bikes. I thought it was better than the piaggio typhoon. Still would love to ride a jetforce c tech and the turbo cdi version!

Latest news is I have to wait until Friday for a mechanic to come pick it up and diagnose the problem which is £40 then worry about what the problem is going to be how much it’s going to cost and then wait probably at least two days for the bike to get back to me!

All this and I just brought the darn thing!

The sellers are extremely lucky I was looking for this particular ped as it was a hassle buying it from such a. Great distance for such a high price imo!

Just looked at it. Looks like they just blacked it out and filled the indicators in.

Really? How come? There made by Peugeot and they have a pretty rep on mopeds don’t they? Can’t be worse than piaggio and aprilia can it?

They said it cost €3000 total and the seat doesn’t look standard but it’s hard to tell.

That’s the one. It was pioneering when it first came out. Apparently it was pretty nippy because if it.

They are apparently quite heavy bikes though but they are a scooter with a motorcycle design and the frame is different from normal peds also.

The oil pipe gets pinched by the frame,
The cylinder is plated and you can rebore it,
The airbox is a totally sealed unit,
    It sucks to work on,
The injection system doesn't even have a lambda. The list goes on....
All the jetforce bikes have that cool frame though. Real nice handling for a scooter.

    Wrong.
All Peugeot scooters are made by Sinnis and re-badged as Peugeot.
And I can buy a new cylinder kit for a V-Clic for £26. If it's that cheap for a new cylinder kit then you have to suspect the quality of the materials used.

It's not even sinnis. It's like chongqing technology something or other.
God what happened to the world, why is stuff so shitty these days.

One good thing about having an older scooter is the quality. Someone mentioned a Italian engine I can’t remember the name which mine apparently has which I like.m the sound of. Apparently it’s a good one?

Can someone please advise. What is a realistic value if my 2001 aprilia mojito custom 50cc is good condition of scartch here and there etc... with only 6500 miles quite a lot of previous owners no service history because I may have to change my insurance from third party fire and theft to third party only.

    Oh yea that’s the one!

I was fearing you might say that. Not even close mate. It has low miles and is in good condition. I paid way more. Fearing your value I may have to change my insurance otherwise I’m lying for nothing and losing money!

I think scuba is pretty much on the mark there. Had a quick look online and seen some classified ones (bikes being sold by dealers, not privately) for around 650, low mileage and 2005ish. By the time they knock a bit off and make their commission I would say 400 is pretty much bang on. Like our cars we tend to overestimate the value of our bikes, me very much included; it's human nature. But for me it's more about sentimental value. I know car owners who pay more in insurance pa than their cars are worth. That's life. I'd still think twice about losing the theft party of your policy though - if it's nicked you're buggered. Insurance, like paying tax is a necessary evil.

Thing is if the insurance company values the bike close the same or lower than my excess they won’t pay out.

Excess protection is £64 so if they value the bike at day £650 I’d get back £150 as I have £500 excess but I have to make a claim against my policy which will make it go up so you have to take that into consideration.

This is even if it gets stolen or burns down!

If I choose third party only I get the £64 excess protection back plus £100!

Would anyone actually steal an aprilia mojito? It’s a classical looking bike at the end of the day not like a piaggio typhoon or a Yamaha or a speed fight which are more stolen?

This has been bugging me for ages and I just want to get it sorted.

I think the bikes worth is atm east £900 which is why I paid but what dyu all think the insurance company is likely to value it at?

Any seasoned experienced ppl with India ace companies in here by any chance?

I’ve got 14 days (14 now) to cancel my excess protection in order to get it back for free otherwise I lose it so I don’t have long to decide!

Personally I doubt it will get stolen I don’t even use it that Much...
